I use warm water and dish detergent to clean my chain. Detergent breaks up grease residue really well and after it’s dry I use chain wax.

Was the chain the only issue you encountered so far (besides the vibration you had on the first ride)? Did vibrations reduce? I am planning to purchase this bike, and I am still wondering if the value actually justifies the quality. Would you give me some recommendations and let me know how it has been so far with the TRK702X? Thanx in advance

Hi Ivanius, Thanks for your comment, Let me give you a short answer... Would we buy the bike again!..yes yes and yes ... we love the bike and definitely think it's worth every penny.. we are planning to do another video in the future for 3000 plus kms and give you all an update.. Go for it

The chain on my TRK702x has this issue. I will report back to the dealer wit it, as they said it would take some kilometers to get better. Done 5000km now, still stuck elements.

Hey thanks for your message .. After we did the chain maintainence this got better for us .. initially we had some minor rusting issues but I coated it with chain lube ... also we've been having really shit weather here in Germany and its been rainy constantly so that really didn't help the situation .. Keep me posted

@@Ridernineteenone i took the Cobbra chain oiler from my MT07 and will fit it on the TRK. See if extra chainsaw oil will do the trick.

Hi, ive also cleaned my chain with wd40 but the dealer advised me not to use that and rather to use just regular motul chain cleaner + moisturizer. Also when i go over 50 i hear a loud thin sound from the front small chain sprocket, not sure whats up with that? Do you hear it on your bike?
@Ridernineteenone4 ай бұрын
Hi Lorenzo, well I would think that there is no real exact scientific approach but WD 40 stands for Water Displacement number 40 .. and I would say it is a mild de-greaser .. as I mentioned in the film I used a much harsher de-greaser as well .. the reason your dealer told you not to use it is probably because there is grease inside the links ..but if you wipe it off before oiling it everything should be fine.. you cannot use WD 40 to lube the chain..that's clear.. but for cleaning it is absolutely fine.. I haven't actually noticed any noise from the front sprocket but I'll keep a ear out for it.. Thanks for your comment 😊😊

Hey there thanks for your message. No we haven't really thought about it yet ... Remove the exhaust??????? why???? please explain... By double stand do you mean the main stand or paddock stand? ... www.amazon.de/-/en/Exhaust-Motorcycle-Mounting-Trampoline-Scooter/dp/B0BWY2SG96/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1PHNY6VZEWFY4&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.yUspLkWuB13EXoKP9xiKIJadb6dybvfJ7n2Wr13m7ApDmFyMZmfZ7SS3pI-ccnh6lz0o3ay4fhqxC06NoK8oPHB9yALPQNaVlcmrYFJ6ZsU7xKC_dAfNbxNyfT-PcNlkZMKap_vK2uX9miVJPm8inakuCHeWmjkvKTX2TSf1zq_IRHlIRUDvoOU_5L5i7I7xbE4ImwPXTz465jVc5QFSQoankdM2QAwoWbxOZSl_MUzGWEhHWRGYUBTzs71s_F4zHp_JXYIZS7qHwotkeNjcSk9BlOvwHtBEZ2tvS9MBFp4.xNRNYFZZQODxAlOmLOVX8q4zQyPzOpDfVBpwdAr3aWA&dib_tag=se&keywords=spring+puller+tool&qid=1716296238&sprefix=spring+puller+tool%2Caps%2C87&sr=8-1 Installing the springs is easy with the right tool like this one for 6 euros...👆

WD 40 will ruin a O ring chain it causes the rubber O rings to swell and degrade.

That's no more than a motorcycle myth.. personally I have experienced no such thing in my years of chain maintenance, probably because I don't leave it on for long ..and it always does the job for me .. but every one is entitled to their own opinions 😊

Don't use a chain cleaner containing solvents they're not good for the o-rings, try buying a three sided motorcycle chain cleaning brush it's easier and quicker, ever thought about chain wax instead of oil or Teflon chain lubricants, I've used wd40 chain wax for years, doesn't fling off or collect dirt but you do need to leave it to dry properly before you use the bike,, overnight is best

Hi Michael , Lots of people are commenting on this.. however to address your comment there are a couple of things to note. Firstly this is a new bike and new chain and gave issues from the first ride, which indicates the problem right there.. it's a poor quality chain .. so I pretty much have no love for it and was considering replacing it with something of a higher quality.. Secondly I am very well versed with the chemical compositions of the solvents I use on my bikes and know what results I can expect from using them.. As I mentioned in other comments as well, I actually used a much harsher solvent off camera to try to get the chain to loosen up .. it did improve but still a far cry from my liking.. I might just change the chain entirely.. so everything is relative using harsh solvents for a short period of time is ok in my opinion as long as you wipe it off soon and then oil it nicely.. But thanks for your comment and thanks for watching.. the biker community is awesome 😎 and I love every one of you guys from the bottom of my heart..
