Fun Fact: This song was not recorded live. The magic of the studio just makes it seem like it.

"Bennie and the Jets" is part of the playlist in my memory from college graduation 1974. Included are Redbone, "Come and Get Your Love." Aretha Franklin "Until you Come Back to Me." Marvin Gaye "Let's Get it On." Hues Corporation "Rock the Boat." MFSB and the Three Degrees "The Sound of Philadelphia." Carly Simon and James Taylor "Mockingbird." There are others.

Im 26 and I vividly remember hearing this, tiny dancer, and rocket man on a specific radio station as my mom and I rode in the car when I was maybe 5 or 6 years old. That’s when I fell in love with music. Elton John, Dolly Parton, Jim Croce, and Def Leppard were my obsessions when I was a kid. This song is so nostalgic to me. Especially now that mom is gone. I’ll always love all of Elton John’s music ❤

My all-time favorite song by any artist! I'm 62 and still sing along like I was a teenager. 😊😊

No doubt one of the best piano artists of our time! I actually learned to two-step off this song back in 1975!😀
