Watch the repeats currently on Freeview. Tell me how many times he uses the 'boxer having to go to the toilet' sketch. Some was good, some was average and some was plain unfunny. What is very noticeable is his early work was very varied with a lot of satire in it but in the l980s scantily clad women running about or bending over in front of the camera was the bulk of his content
@wmbrown610 ай бұрын
@@michaelkenny8540 - You can attribute that 1980's turn to his producer, Dennis Kirkland - who had very antediluvian attitudes towards women, and who had the unfortunate belief that people basically only watched the show for the girls and little or nothing else. It was basically Kirkland who turned the show into a de facto Playboy magazine of the air.

Looking at this, and laughing so much, nobody can tell me we live in a better world today. This was sexy and funny with no offence to anyone. And to any of today's critics, just remember his show was loved by both men and women!! Now if we laugh at anything, someone, somewhere will find it offensive, with often serious and unfair repercussions! What a sad miserable world-which is why these uploads are so special. RIP Benny and all your wonderful crew who helped make your shows "ROFL" treats!!!

The people that claim offence really aren’t offended, they’re operating from a political position and looking for any avenue to gain power and control over everyone else. It’s written directly in the Marxist guidebook

Actually Benny Hill in this guise does look a lot like Dickie Davies!
