Has anyone spoken to these people since, to learn what has really happened in their lives after this outburst? Why did Jesus and his disciples not to these things, he could have saved more people.

Dont use scripture out of context. The Power of the Holy Spirit can become so strong that people, believers or even unbelievers cant even Stand in the Presence of God.
