I think one of my problems with this ship is that Benson kinda just solely revolves around Troy throughout season 3, Benson barely contributes to anything and he doesn't really have an arc to go through unlike kipo and wolf. And this has been a problem for me every since we first saw Benson into the show, He slowly fades away into a secondary character as the show goes on. Like take catra and Adora from she ra they both clearly had arcs to go through but benson. I get the fact that kipo has 3 seasons and she ra has like 5 but I still think they could have Benson do something more into the series and mainly season 3 than just trying to be in a relationship.

They couldve easily made Troy's dad homophobic for character development or for a quick excuse for sideplot in an episode. I'm actually kinda glad they made him accepting, to the point that he is a litteral wingman for his son. God bless him

I never liked how Troy was never given a character beyond just being a love interest for Benson. He along with Asher and Dahlia deserved more screentime. But since the show's over, it's too late for that.

While on one hand i do agree we didn't get enough. While on the other hand we got that Troy likes similar music is also very courageous and prone to acting on what he thinks is right. Going back to help Kupo's dad when he was hurt, diving out to protect those two girls (i unfortunately forget the names of the girls in that scene. The twins). So him being very sure of himself in dating Benson and being the one who kisses him first makes sense seeing as he dives right in to stuff. So while we didn't get a lot we did get some at least.
