I've been listening to "Beautiful Things" by Benson Boone daily. I'm so inspired by his voice, his songwriting style, his passion, etc. I didn't feel the need to change the song much (it's already SO good and a genre-cousin to mine) so I didn't do a studio cover. Holy range, I was seizing the entire build-up into the chorus, I don't think people realise how difficult your distortion, compression, runs, and head voice transitions were to perform that impeccably. Bravo!

i normally try and drastically change up my covers from the original song, so i almost took a soft approach.. but i figured if i CAN hit these notes i SHOULD.. so i did 😁 im always in the mood for a good gritty/belty moment 😏

This is absolutely GORGEOUS. Your range is simply ginormous, and you explore the lows and the highs beautifully. Also, as a teenager who plays the piano, I know how hard it is to play and sing at the same time. The fact that you did both flawlessly is so inspiring and so incredible. Plus, those head voice transitions were insane. You have to be one of the best examples of those transitions I've seen, and you make it look so easy!! And your breath control is fantastic, too. You've been trained so well with such a beautiful tone. Be so proud, girl

This is CRAZY. Vocals are obviously incredible but in the second verse slowing down the piano to the same pace of the first verse while continuing to play in 6/8 time gave it a lot more pullback to get released again. Great choice!

i’d like to pretend that i did it on purpose, but usually the tempo of my live covers follows my internal metronome/natural inclinations😁😭 i try to be mindful of tempo the best i can as i don’t play with a click track, so im glad it flows well!!

TLM 102 - an absolutely underrated microphone - I record most of my stuff with it as well! And what a lovely cover you did there! Nice to hear it with female vocals!🙂

yes i love it!! shockingly, i often prefer my SM7B over it though 🤭 the TLM tends to brighten my already-bright voice, whereas the SM7B dampens/softens those brighter tones. thank you for listening!!
