@kernow9324 anything dealing with music is a straightjacket because the systems in place are confining. You just have to choose how you want to be confined.

I won't diss AI. Maybe not always the winner, but have gone far in their careers...Adam Lambert, Jennifer Hudson. First winner Kelly Clarkson has done fantastic. It opens doors for many that maybe don't have much of an intro avenue otherwise. A lot depends on their personal drive after the show.

Wow. He is so attractive, and seems so sweet. He didn't need American Idol. Except for a few winners like Kelly Clarkson & Carrie Underwood, the people that have the most success after American Idol aren't the winners.

It all depends on their talents and also who they are represented by too ... Kelly is amazing and one the best and sweetest artists that didn't let fame or money change her because many people do change and not for the better... I always like Carrie also but country isn't for me ... Jordin Sparks, Jennifer Hudson and and Adam Lambert are also examples of great artists
