Fun fact: mate in Australia is a synonym for friend. However, here Pam referred to mate as a romantic partner. When I used to live in the us, I never heard mate used in this sense. I always knew mating there referred to having sex, but still.

I don't find this relatable at all Women do this stupid thing where they can't sit still for two seconds without constant reassurance of your presence In other words, in order for men to be rewarded and established, we have to demonstrate performance and discipline at high levels of pressure Women only have to NOT hoe it up for more than a day or use words like Mate or Think and everything will be gucci That's the reason why in the words of Patrice O'Neal, it's better to _like_ than to love a woman. At least when you like them, you don't feel it necessary to add undue attachment or commitments that neither of you can fulfill. Loving a woman leaves too much room for interpretation with the burden of proof on the guy I love my car and I love programming. Both contribute to my financial success while being dependable. A woman that can't take it easy is some kind of strange oxymoron. She's good to do what she likes when you're not around, but the moment you step in, she puts heirs on every operation Imagine things _like_ your car that regularly switch up the laws of physics. You would find a better means of reliable transportation if that were the case. God should update the model of the style of woman he's putting out At the very least a guy like Benson should know how to read the signs for a compromised partner. Any woman that can't hold it down or interjects her womanly nonsense instead of what you laid down for her is not a righteous relationship

Pretty sure mate is commonly used only in Britain and Australia, and here in Australia, it’s mostly men who use the term “mate”. Friend is still a common word to use though, though in the us, mate doesn’t mean friend.
