Great piece, also, the cookie being mushy gives it more authenticity. It gets mushy when you dunk them anyway!

I love that you took a chance with the casting stone! There's a children's programme here in the states that encourages their viewers "take chances, make mistakes, and get messy!" because that's how you learn and grow. You did that and hit this one out of the park! I love how you brought the original music back too! Great callout to the OG days. Thanks for great content, mate!

I am a huge Oreo fan! I love anything Oreo and even had a subscription to the Oreo box when it came out. They are always in my house, usually 2-4 flavors at a time, and I even have my own special dipping utensil. And the more creme, the better! I would absolutely LOVE this and would proudly display it in my home!!!

The disembodied fingertips are a bit creepy, but I love the way the cookie went soft around them, it’s so perfectly relatable. Who hasn’t left their Oreo dunked just those few seconds too long?

Put 3 oreos into a blender, add a glass of milk hit the button for 20 seconds pour into a large glass and presto an instant oreo milkshake

I never realized how much I missed the reveal music, thanks for bringing it back! I actually think the color looks great and I like how the cookie is soft and gripped by the fingers, makes for a bit more realism, I'm sure we've all had them go too soft in the milk!

This is why I love working with resin. There’s something pretty cool about the fact that you can combine two liquids and form it into anything you want.

I think it looks amazing, the cookie looks as though it’s just got that right texture of slightly squishy, milk saturated, scrummy cookie and adding the class was a stroke of genius

@@BensWorx yea i was thinking the UV resin maybe could have done it. But you're damned if you do and damned if you don't. IT probably would have a haze around the cookie.

I didn't even think about the glass for the milk until you poured that last resin. That was so awesome the way it turned out. The way the cookie Oreo logo is still nice and visible under the fingers is epic!! Great job, as always!

I remember when the original Oreo was the size of the Double Stuff and the Double Stuff was really thick. But still fun to watch your ideas develop.

Ben, if you decide to re-do this, might I suggest letting the cookie go stale first? I feel as tho it would be more rigid if it was left out in the air for the night.

Personally I can’t go past the Twist lick dunk method for the double stuffed Oreo’s into Oak Vanilla Malt Milk. That and if I was around the Oreo’s wouldn’t have lasted long enough to be cast in resin, It drives Mum Nuts as anything to do with Oreo’s or Mint generally doesn’t last with me around.

Even with a pigment, it is very hard to get a good flesh tone with any single color. Also, the colors layer into the translucent skin to different depths. I think you did just fine.

Pro tip… insert a tooth pick into the oreo like a popsicle. Hold the tooth pick and dunk the oreo almost all the way, but not submerged, for a few seconds then completely submerge the cookie. Few more seconds and it’s completely soaked and your fingers don’t get wet. Timing is different for the double stuft but results are the same.

I actually have a special tool just for Oreo dipping, it's called The Dipr. It's basically a tiny scythe, and it perfectly holds all kinds of Oreos.

This turned out way better than I expected. Honestly, I expected at least 1 part to fail. I mean, 5 different pours/mold steps is a good amount of variables. Glad that not 1 of them flopped! Great project Ben!

i dig ur "interactive" videos-- every one, i can't help replying, out loud, to ur questions n comments, as the project moves along! i enjoy creating with resin too, and i hope some day ill have the means (more resin, a workshop, wood turner, pressure pot, fund$, etc ) to experiment more, create bigger, better, n more intricate pieces. till then, my resin dreams, i live thru you! I love that the minimal bubbles that occurred around the Oreo have just added to the effect as if the milk has splashed up when dunking giving it a sense of motion 😎 top work as always!
