My buddy Paul asked if I would help show him how to change the oil in his 2014 Bentley Continental GT V8S, so that's what we did! It's surprisingly easy, although it does have a few small things to consider like turning the suspension on to jack mode, and resetting the service computer. Otherwise, it's a pretty straight forward oil change service.

Good instructional video and thanks for posting. I have worked on a few of these and would like to add a bit of a tip. At 5:29 you make reference to the drain plug being partially hidden by the small cross member, in less than a minute you can remove one of the securing Allen headed bolts and lossen the other which allows this cross member to be moved completely out of the way making for a much cleaner drop of the oil and easy access for tools & torque tightening. It is not a stressed member or connected to any suspension components it is there to secure some of the many front splash shield securing screws. I think it is a 8mm or poss 9mm allen headed bolt up top with a 16mm or 17mm securing nut.

What an absolutely disgraceful oil drain placement. These companies like to brag about their engineering prowess and then do an absolute poop job on some of the most basic things. Not the first time I've seen it but it still always shocks me. BTW a flexible flat sheet funnel is great for this kind of stuff. Pretty cheap and available online.

next time rermove the 2 bolts that hold the cross bar. That cross bar is just there to hold the engime cover torqs bolts

Very informative, clear and concise. Cleary the 36MM socket for the oil filter cover is only required for the W12 vice the V-8. You didn't mention what size socket is required for the V-8 Twin Turbo?

Hello, I find the 32mm is a bit tight on the filter cap hex which is fine when undoing but not when replacing ! I use a 33mm socket which fits perfectly.

I have one close by me. You rent a lift for hour intervals. They supply tools and help if you need it. The place is always busy.

@@normalguysupercar FWIW, I have a '14 Continental GT V8S and I do my own oil changes. I *do* remove the two bolts that hold the cross brace on and things get easy fast. I will say the first time I saw that bar, I thought "WTF?" Super easy to remove -- I don't remember any 'bushing' issue to deal with. Great video! It's also the first video I've seen on your channel and will be subscribing now. :)

Yikes! Next time get a strip of aluminum foil and make a little ramp for the oil to slide down and not make a huge mess - no need to just let it drain on to the front brace!

You actually prefilled one of those filters.... You shouldn't even pre fill a normal filter.... Teach him the correct way...

I’d be a bit concerned if my technician was saying things like these guys… ‘’should be enough…. Probably enough oil…’’. You better be damn sure it’s the right amount of oil. I’m not trusting my car to these guys. I’m paying the $800 to know it’s done right.
