I get excited when I see an artist make a mistake then talk through how to deal with it. In addition to being useful info, it’s also encouraging to know that even the pros have moments of woopsie. Thank you for keeping it in, and showing us your work around. I really like how the filing cabinets turned it. They are very convincing from the details of the cabinets to the overflowing pages, varied height and angles to trick the eye. It was all fascinating enough I might have to watch it twice! 🙏

I am happy to leave those parts in. I think part of working with miniatures is finding 'fixes' in order to keep going. Otherwise I would be making the same piece over and over again and never move forward😄 I am so glad you liked how it all came out! Thank you Audrey💖

Everything is just brilliant! The sliding panel with the hole in the middle is the cherry on top. Love all the textures you were able to accomplish with the sand and the ripples in the worbla. It's really coming together!

A tip for working with Worbla on cardboard. Lightly dust it with corn starch to stop it sticking to surfaces you don't want it sticking to. When it's cooled down again, brush off the corn starch.

This was amazing. I think my favorite part was how you made the stacks of paper. Those just instantly tell you you are in the Beetlejuice waiting room for some reason. Haha And how you made the window panels was so cool! Everything is looking so spectacular! I can’t wait to see the next installment. Also, love the new shirts!! Congratulations!

For even more precise applications of gooey substances - check out the way henna artists make cones from cellophane. A friend of mine who does henna and jagua art also sometimes just puts acrylic paint in a cone and decorates items with the same technique she'd be using with henna paste :)

It's looking fabulous! I wish there were one of your T-shirts with 1:6 scale on it LOL. For your foamboard, you might try a couple light coats of matt spray varnish on them before painting. This would seal the paper and keep so much moisture from seeping in.

Painting both sides can help as well. Or just peeling the paper off the foam before painting.

Since this is the first time I have ever done shirts I just decided to go with 1 design. I have had a few requests for other scales so I will keep that in mind if I am able to do it again!! Great idea with the spray!

I love, love, love, LOVE what you made so far!😆 I love how you made the cabinets and the papers! They looks so cool and detailed! The worbla paper curtain does look like the ones from the movie! Wow. Your illusion for Miss Argentina's workspace is absolutely perfect. It definitely looks like a room. So clever. Arteza is awesome! You must have been psyched getting that huge box. I love that they customized what they sent you. So excited about those glue pens. Miniaturists certainly do appreciate glue. The Worbla is the perfect color for those panels. No matter what the topic, every video you make is so fun and entertaining to watch and I always learn new things.

Oh man, it looks so good, the Beetlejuice set designer will surely rub his eyes (unknown greetings to the set designer(s), it was an incredible job ;-) ) I'm curious how everything works together. The light show at the turnstile is really well done and the reception, great, can't wait to see the lady with the "happy little accident" in the window, at least as well as the flat guy who was hit by the steamroller. XD Just awesome. 😁

Thank you Jens! I am excited about the lights as well. We hope to make it kind of a lightshow effect like some real life houses do around Christmas or Halloween. Perhaps the lights will move along and react to the Beetlejuice theme song! I am not sure if we can do it but I think it would definitely match up with the movie 'vibe' I am going for.

@@BentleyHouseMinis Maybe even a reaction to "Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice" that something crazy is happening, for example the model city. So many things are possible today, including mirror techniques, like in a real chamber of horrors. We'll see, I'm curious. 😁👍

Wonderfully clever. Warp walls-- you have to paint both sides at once. I *think* you can do one side, let it get half dry then do the other and weigh that down. It's been a while!

I am so psyched about the tee-shirts!! I would like to get one in time for my birthday which is in May!! You've done a great tribute to the original set designers with that window addition! I love how realistic everything looks, even the filing cabinets. I'm very interested in seeing the cabinet in kit form, and I hope you make one for half scale. Great video! Project is looking great! The price of post its has gotten insane. I save them now for masking a vertical or round surface that requires the sticky. For masking floors I now have a box of old 3X5 and 4X6 cards. They're also good for holding with one hand while you paint with the other and work on many different surfaces and projects. New rule! If you wear a wig (even if photo shopped) in the thumbnail you have to wear it or a similar wig for the video!!!

The filing cabinets look great and the idea with the cardboard fillers is ingenious... otherwise you would still be cutting and sticking 😂😂😂 Looking forward to part 3 🥰... oh and love the merch too😊! Just a suggestion..when your foam board is warping like that, paint the opposite side, and it should keep the board from warping as much. Love your work!!

I'm totaly amazed by everything,the file cabinets look so real with the paper Stacks on them and the wavy Front turned out just perfect. Too bad warming up just the tool wasn't enough 😅🤷‍♀️

The worbla(sp?) Turned out to be a great tool and the heatgun is perfect for small projects. The use of the cardboard was brilliant and I thought that would be the way to go for the shutters but the other will hold up in the long run and be sturdier. I have seen others use it for doll shoes because it is so lightweight and the way it molds to any surface for sculpting. I can definitely imagine the characters walking through this scene. Can't wait for more and to see the dolls inside.

I am so much happier with the smaller heat gun. I think the larger industrial one is more powerful but it was definitely harder to wield. I am so glad you liked the results! Thank you😊

I wouldn't want to be seen dead in this room. No, wait... :-P Getting into shape now it seems. This is really the waiting room to die for... Okay, okay, I'll stop now. ;-) The cabinets look really nice, I wish I had a laser cutter. Also a 3D printer. I wish I could afford them. I wish I had ROOM to afford them. Oh well... Looking forward to see some occupants of the room, take your time though.

omg it is SO AWESOME!! I loved miss Argentina ..I remember 1st seeing beetlejuice when I was in middle school, and her hair was really influential in my general weirdo-ness throughout my life.. (in appearance I've been dyeing my hair funky colors since around 4th grade and its one of the ways I express myself) I loved those filing cabinets too..and as usual..just liked watching it come together. all the little tips and >I do the same thing whenever I get a package I save the packing material to reuse in my projects..I like paper mache and those blobs of brown paper are great..l have also used oddly shaped styrofoam bits to add weight/support to paper crafted projects(I use them inside especially when I make something for my kid, who likes to actually play with them &make little stop motion videos with them, a lot less "Uh oh Fix this please"- moments where I have to reattach something or reconnect a piece. anyway..thanks as usual for sharing the creative process with everyone I cant wait to see more!!!--one scene that always stayed with me was (I THINK it's another office worker ) was flattened and cruised thru via a small opening in the wall..he was hanging up and would come thru.. ~~also the "warbla" material was interesting and I'm off to locate the video about what it is ETC. thanks☆☆
