Benue state, Nigeria in 2020 | The city of Makurdi

Hey guys, join me on a road trip from Abuja to Benue state through Nasarawa state. Benue state is the food basket of the nation and it is located in the North-central region of Nigeria. It is also home to River Benue, the second-longest river in Nigeria (1400 kilometers) and has two major tribes, the Tiv and Idoma. I explored a bit of the capital, Makurdi and shared interesting facts and places you can visit as well. This is the first part of this road trip, in my next video, I take you to a very popular town called Otukpo, so stay tuned.

There are 3 major tribes in Benue. Tiv, Idoma and Igede. You can also throw in the smaller tribes like Etulo and Jukun

I have watched this more than 5 times am just smiling from ear to ear watching this video. Please say hi to BSU..Benue state university lol. That food basket of the nation got me hard, ,that statue has been there for ages. Bush bar is close to my house OMG ..my favorite fish joint. Tito has actually renovated there store. ..I am full time Benue brought up. Have you been to Wadata market lol?thanks for sharing this video ooooh.

Haha awww thank you so much 🙏🏾🙏🏾 yeah a lot of renovations have gone down, Tito is now a drive-through too. My aunt lives directly behind the bush bar, used to go for holidays. Yeah I have been to Wadata but we were passing through to otukpo so we didn’t go to the market that day.

I have passed through this very road but just once and that was last year September 2019, thanks for bringing back this beautiful memories...I think government should fixed all these deplorable roads cos it really made our journey longer than expected

Nigeria is at war with any country but look the road to benue from Abuja , just what we are watching on TV during Sierra Leone civil war, a state with fertile massive land with benue river too ,yet fulani herdsmen won't allow them to farm,they will surely reclaim their lands back
