Benzema was already a megastar to me , I knew his play at the days of Lyon , long before Ronaldo came to Madrid. But I was wondering why Courtois didn't get it. Infact in my opinion they should think about the goalkeeping position. Except Lev Yashin no goalkeeper has ever won it..why? Goalkeepers also contribute equally as strikers in a team. Perhaps they should also try goalkeepers next year. They can find so much contenders.

Using that, then every lead assist player should be in the top 15 🙄Come on!. Ronaldo, yes, he scored a good amount of goals but where did his team ended? You mentioned Diaz... he had much more influence in the second half of the season for liverpool than Ronaldo for mu for the whole season.

Great vid! Been watching RM since 2011. I remember the struggle to get in the first 11 between him and Higuain. That could have been a nice extra element in this vid :) Also selling Cristiano in 2017 was the best move ever done by Real - I don't think they had a fight with him. At the time I regretted it and thought "wtf?" but looking back from an economic point of view and long term vision it was a good decision for both parties. Also Benzema eventually stepped up after the void created by Ramos leaving - who probably should have left 1 season earlier. Definitely deserves it - he's been one of the most consistent strikers for ~10 years and the same as Modric it feels like a lifetime award. Might leave at the end of this season - I'm curious what will happen.
