Constitution of Serbia from 1835 A slave who sets foot on Serbian soil is automatically freed from slavery and becomes a free man. This is just one of the excerpts from the Sretenji Constitution, i.e. an illustration of how progressive and modern Serbia was, even 195 years ago.

"From metro in Tokyo to train in Mumbai" is metaphor for "worldwide", meaning spreading the truth and the message of the song to the whole world.
@dusanbajic20472 жыл бұрын
Nope...Tokyo Metro and Moumbai train are Terrorist attacks referred to by the BG Syndicate in this song. At the end of the song, the alleged protagonist of this song sacrifices himself in a bomb attack in the parliament in order to prove the point that the song propagates.

@estrellaroja41442 жыл бұрын
It can be translated but there are many words that have to be explained (Kokarda, parizans, chetnics ustashe, handžar...) and you need to know something about WWI and WWII in the Balkans... Without that knowledge it's probably pointless to listen to this song.

Hello people, understand the lyrics of this song as an artistic magnification because realistically you will not see any of them when you come to Serbia, whether some cases exist, and of course they exist as in other countries, but I claim that Serbia is one of the safest countries in Europe.

Yes, Serbia is safe and there is a very high chance that you won't see terrorist attacks or get murdered. However that doesn't change the fact that large areas of the country are impoverished, that the people are oppressed and that corruption is wide spread and that young people are leaving the country en masse for better standards of living or that "they" are selling good soil to international companies that will damage the ecosystem and the local population. Serbia is safe, but not free or democratic, although it may seem like that through the state controlled media.

@gerillazack772 жыл бұрын
Precursor of this song was "ONI SU" (THEY ARE). Actually this song "Welcome to Serbia" was inspired by that before, the difference is that its new government with their catastrophic rule and continuing to do whut ex-suckers also did...Ex-government (the yellow ones) was like pro-west(NATO-EU), anti-serbian❤️russian, auto-chauvinistic, pro-LGBT, anti-orthodox-traditionalist, anti-family, they imported "economic assassins" so-called economy experts with just one task to kill your economy and blame it on world economic crisis or else...Also they destroyed Army-forces so they won't be able to protect Serbian ppl on Kosovo when the "Crystal Night"(POGROM) begin March 16. 2004, it was ethnic cleansing of serbs by albanians, and we could not stop it. This actually government do the same thing but with a mask of "false patriotism", justifying their rule by the well known repeated mantra "And if we go, the previous bastards will return, who the hell will lead you better than us"...this song is their second political striking message to government and its was in time when SNS (current government) was like past political puberty and it was expected from them to do something but instead they continue doing whut IMF West and other corporations order them to do... Third song was "Sistem te laže" (System is lying to you) and it was during the last elections was fraudulent robbed... That last song was culmination of all...

Thos song is about serbian government, ther coruption, normalisation of hate spech on TV, negative selecion and possible consequences. Unfortunately on May 3rd 2023 there was a shooting in elementary school in Balgrade, very similar to this described in the song. They described the root causes of violence in the song and the seed of violence planted by the corupt and irresponsible government.
