Said this on Coop's review but Elite 2.0 doesn't actually have any attachments that are designed for a bottom rail yet. The Trailblazer has that big hole on the other side for quick reloads so an 8 dart storage attachment would have made a lot of sense (and given you somewhere to put those extra darts) If that issue with the rotation mechanism turns out to be a one-off, I might pick up a Trailblazer. Maybe some putty or something on the inside of the shell could help it feel less cheap?

Had it for weeks. Hammershot/sweet revenge spring spacer actually pushes this thing as hard as 8.5 kg spring...but watch out. The spacer wanted to slide out the whole time I was putting the shell back. They really don't want you to swap springs and add spacers to this one. Extra plate and the spring's behind the handle like the Negotiator. If you're expecting hammershot/sweet revenge internals there will be a couple of extra steps...really snazzy but the made in India hammershot is waaaaay more durable than the trail blazer from China. Happy that elite 2.0 is fast out of the box though and we can wear that stock spring down with a spacer before swapping. Third barrel on the Trio started to poop after 3 months. Didn't bother trying to upgrade, handed that one off. I like the trailblazer too, but Hammershot 8.5 kg is still rocking a tiny bit harder/accurate. Sweet revenge wouldn't catch with 8 5 kg...will the trailblazer?????? I guess we'll know in about 3 months when the stock spring poops.

I've got 5 of these so far, they are by far the best blaster Nerf has released in the past couple of years for sure, and even just a bit heavier spring will enhance the performance of the blaster. I plan to do some testing with multiple different springs that that Hammershot could take to see what FPS I can get out of them.

Question about shell minimization: how much does this cylinder need the front support? Some blasters (like the DartFire internal blaster) can live perfectly without it, but others are not so happy.

I tried ordering one from Walmart then they canceled my order so I took that as a sign. Happier with my 6-sh and hammershot.

That cylinder gives away that this is really just a reshelled hammerstorm, but with a much smaller shell.

I just picked this up about 3 days ago, and I also am quite pleased with it. I had been planning to upgrade my hammershot, but this does pretty much everything I was planning on doing to that, without having to wait a few days on my printer, or waiting on parts that I'd need to order. I actually like the shaping of it, so my only plan at the moment is to re-paint the dark blue part and make it more of a cyberpunk theme. Definitely a great blaster at $15.

I love the look, both the molding and aquatic colour scheme. 8 rounds is very well fitted, and people always like the hammer prime stuff including me because it's just fun as well as one handable. The grip is thin, but at least it's not super short and you can always wrap it with something. If someone did find it short, a pommel of sorts could be added. The part that turned me off tho was how the trigger release felt. I played around in the store with one, and it bothsounded and felt like I was about to snap whatever dollar store grade plastic they used on the catch mechanism. I have never had that with hammer shots, doomlands, or rebelle hammer prime stuff, or any Nerf branded thing, even those 5 dollar Fang/Claw/whatever alpha strike blasters or Jolts of any variety. Maybe I could fix that with a bit of epoxy build up and lube, but it just felt cheap to me.

Awesome video, I'm with you on this one. When I saw that this was coming out I was pretty happy , love the shape and color scheme.

After handling my for a few weeks I really like the grip. Completely agree that both side should be open, could have allowed for longer barrel and mega cylinders.

As someone with slightly smaller but beefier hands, this thing fits me great! My middle finger fits great on the groove, and my thumb has just enough reach I can reliably pull the hammer back (though if I were to use it for more than fighting children, some griptape would be my first change.)

I picked up the Trailblazer about a month or so ago at my Walmart, which has a few newer blasters from 2.0 and Wild Edition. I'm glad to see the FPS difference in darts, I was worried when I saw my AF darts reading lower than Elite and other darts. To me it works fine as a Hammershot clone, the opening on the other side works fine given the extra length, and I do appreciate more darts in the barrel as a stock feature. I just tested 3 Hammershots today so I can confirm with AF darts they hit about 60 FPS and on the same chronograph you use.

This the best blaster nerf has put on shelves in years it's the only one worth the price.

I picked up a Trailblazer a while back at my local Walmart. I do agree that the grip is a bit small, and the reach for the hammer is pretty extreme, especially compared to something like the 6-SH. I do like the eight dart capacity. I do have a few more gripes, though. I feel that the trigger is a bit thin, because after firing it a bit, it kind of got uncomfortable. And I’ve been having trouble with getting mine to prime consistently. When I say that, I mean it’s hammer sometimes gets extremely stiff at the end of the prime, making it really hard to prime. Overall, however, I do think this one is worth picking up. It just feels a little rough around the edges.

You know I've been waiting for someone who was "persnickemous-enough" to evaluate this blaster before I bought 10 of them. Thank you for another great video. Hell Yes.!!!! SCREWS.!!!!! Also looks like there's room for a drop-out conversion, not to mention a 9 or 10 shot cylinder. There's even room enough for Flywheel- the-World to do work up a New Barrel front section. p.s. most of the used HammerShots/SweetRevenges I've bought shoot a little weak, coming in (presumably because they were left prime for God knows how long.) around 55--60fps. At the end of day, I freely admit, I want to shoot a 1/2darts from my HammerShot or SweetRevenges at 150 fps.

Got one three weeks ago and used it in the Austin indoor Nerf arena for an entire evening. Pro: More capacity than a hammershot, decently easy to reload. Cons: The rotating after reloading drove me nuts. it always skips one chamber so if you only managed to get one dart reloaded, you never know if the blaster fires that chamber - or an empty one. It it pretty creaky compared to a hammershot. And the grip is really on the small side. Got a blister on my thumb from all the firing but i take that as a sign that I had fun with that thing. Overall: Maybe the first really decent Elite 2.0 blaster? Like - it is not a failure. A fair offering.

To people wondering about the modding potential about the Trailblazer. Besides the normal mods you can do to it, You can also hack the right side of the shell (Aka the side of the shell where the Trailblazer logo is at) to a point where you can make it ambidexterous. I wish youtube had a way of showing images but I have done it to mine and surprisingly, the gun still functions and now can be used by both lefties and righties

An answer to your question… so you can actually put a couple things on that bottom rail which is the barrel breaks 8 dart holder and a laser.

I grabbed 2 trailblazers shortly after they came out. I used them a little, but I ultimately went back to my 6-SH's for actual use. Losing 2 darts is not much compared to ergonomics. The small grip and seemingly raised hight of the hammer just made it uncomfortable and slow to use as a sidearm. It took too much focus to use it in a pinch... like when you would want a pistol...

For whatever reason, here in Australia these cost 29 dollarydoos. To compare that to others on shelves, the Elite 2.0 Eaglepoint is $35-39 depending on the store, the Prospect is $9, the Loadout Pack is $25 and the Commander is $15-19 depending on the store. I'm pretty sure the Fortnite 6-SH is the same price, but that has a brand tie-in that makes it more expensive by default. I have no idea why Trailblazers are so expensive, but given that only one store (Kmart) stocks them right now, I'm hoping that the price drops a little when other stores release them.

5:17 bottom rails are mostly pointless. But the best use I can think, is any of the dart rail attachments to give you extra ammo on your blaster when it wouldn't fit elsewhere, like in the Barrel Break. as little as 5 and as many as 10, this is one of the most useful rail accessories I can think of, without detracting from the style or use of the blaster, and being on the bottom doesn't block your aim. A few problems: the accessory isn't widely available anymore (I think last use was a Mulan live action movie tie-in bow), the darts face sideways so they wouldn't fit in a holster or pocket with the blaster, and depending on your movement in a game are susceptible to falling off or bumping off against you. Still, I like to use the rail attachment on blasters with low barrel storage like this to double the on-board ammo.

I'd say out of the three reviewers I watch, you're definitely the most content with the blasters you look at (compared to Walcom and Coop772). Certainly the equivalent of the "good cop".

It's a bulky 8 dart hammershot. There's nothing fundamentally _wrong_ with it. I'm not surprised you like it.

Didn't even like hammer prime until this one, really good to duel wield, 8 rounds and not going to lie but was impressed by performance and accuracy, you can pick these up on your way to a game and take it right out of the box and bring it om the field, between these and the moto blitz im hoping hasbro will continue the trend........... 😂😂😂 jokes aside kudos hasbro, kudos 👍

Nice hold up. Not a fan of the size. But i am current hunting for more Sweet revenges, they holster so nicely.

Nerf is the best provider of Hammer-prime pistols, but they all have weird not-great grips. The Hammershot has that uncomfortable hard plastic fake tape wrap. The Fortnite 6-SH has that big round bulky not-molded-to-human-hands grip. Now this has the undersized strangely shaped grip that looks out of whack with the rest of the chunky pistol. If you could find the Sweet Revenge, that has the most normal grip, (well weird in a normal way) though I have never held one. Maybe it is no bigger than the Trailblazer, but even so, it's not mismatched in size.

In regards to the underslung tactical rail, the only thing I can think of to attach there (that would make any logical sense) is one of the various dart storage accessories available for quick reloads on the fly. Anything else, like a lazer sight or targeting light, would just be cosmetic at best.

so one minor complaint i had with this blaster when shooting my buddys was the grip because the hammershot had a little flair at the base and while it didnts seem like much it helped hold my hand on the gun when one handing it. leading me on to my next queston how ward would it be to make a new outer shell for this thing?

Make sure to put your darts all the way in the cylinder or else they won’t fly very well

I really don't like the handle size and the open door. Gave it to my 4yr old and bought another Hammershot to mod. Maybe I'll get it again if they end up with good mods for it.

I never got a hammershot back in the day and this looks like it's worth buying. Too bad Nerf completely neglects their market outside the US, so chances of being able to get one might be low for a while.

I think a hammer shot would be better because you could mod it and make it eight rounds and the reloading is annoying on the hammer short you have about three sides available on each side so that is only two unavailable if you modded it to have eight rounds the Trailblazer is much bigger than the hammer shop. The hammer shop is much smaller so mining that would be much better than just buying the trailblazer but if you don’t mod then get the trailblazer.😊
