Mozzberg, I asked about the threaded barrel on another KZfaq video and was told that the latest models do have it. Also agree with all of your other requests. I'm looking at this for home defense, but would also like to take it for a spin in competition (2-gun) but only if I could upgrade the trigger.

The .40’s are pretty decent for an impromptu hunting rifle. Heading towards 10mm loadings from a pistol length. Obviously a 10mm or .357 pistol is more powerful but that little carbine will let you put it where you want it just a little bit easier.

The CX4 Storm has easily become my favorite weapon to shoot at the range. Magazine interchangeability with the 92FS helps.

Friend of mine, who was a Marine Sniper shot my Beretta CX4 Storm Carbine, has the Poppa Sierra Trigger/hammer and Spring. Using a Sig Rome 5xdr red dot and a foregrip. Told me it was the most disturbing accurate gun he ever put his hands on. Gun never has a malfunction, is a serious lightweight and great handling tack driver. Never getting rid of it!

Great rifles. When I ran the shooting range we had a rental with at least 80, 000 rounds through it. Of course recoil springs and such had been replaced, but mostly original parts!

The first time I went to a firing range I was 19, and it was near Rome. After a couple of mags shot on paper targets with a pistol, i believe it was a browning pro9 at 10 meters we moved to 25 meters and my aim was all over the place. So they gave me a CX4 and i was able to hold a good group. We than moved to 50 meters and i could still hold a head sized group. I think it is a great fun gun even for beginners.

I've had one for about a year now. It's the only gun that goes with us every range trip. New and long time shooters really like it. How could you not like hitting the target every single time? Recently picked up the px4 pistol, it's a great pistol in its own. Beretta did an outstanding job with the storm series. Great video guys, thanks!

Love the storm carbine. I've owned one for 10 years and it is a go to weapon to shoot at the range. Plus I really do appreciate the large slide release because I have arthritis in my hands so the big lever makes it easy to use!

Bought one in 9mm this year(2022). Have had 1 double feed so far. 1st time shooting it. Could be ammo, mag, weapon, or me. Have to shoot it more.

I think what these rifles need more than anything else is a full flat top with the option to mount any kind of iron sights or optics. The factory sights are so-so at best but they can't be removed.

I miss mine. Bought one about 20 years ago in 9mm. Was a fun accurate gun that chewed thru anything I thru at it. Back then you didn’t even have a case it came in and the top wasn’t even ready for rail you had to drill out molded holes and tap yourself. Wish I hadn’t sold it. Like to get another one in .40

I can understand the “craze” of the flush fit mags. My CMR30 has a flush fit mag in the grip and it makes for an excellent handling small game rifle.

I had a cx4 storm back in the day. Probably like 10 years ago. You could hammer nails with that thing. I used to use the quarter sized stickers at the range lol I miss that bad boy.

i took my new cx4 out yesterday,really like it,few things were stiff on it to start but after shooting it a bit and getting used to it,i really like it.sighted in new cheap red dot,very accurate for me.thumbs up!

I ended up getting the barrel wrench tool for mine and had a 3 lug installed over the end by tsc machine, the same way they would do it on a cut down hk94. Gives an already pretty awesome gun a suppressor mounting option.

I have personally feed 5k rounds in my storm. NEVER an issue. If you stand still smoking a cigarette at 50 yards my wife can put it out for you. I love my storm.

Shot one at a rental range. All around amazing gun, fits tight against your shoulder, low recoil, high accuracy, and good grip. Very combat effective carbine.

You can buy either version, 92 or PX4, magazines from the factory. And you can buy a magwell kit to convert either way should you find a used version and want to switch it. Beretta did discontinue the .45ACP model a few years ago. Sierra Pappa would be the best source for aftermarket parts. The Bushnell TRS 25 makes a great inexpensive RDS for the CX4.

I love mine. Everyone wants to change this or that. Fine. But it’s a great gun straight out of the box. So accurate. Easy to handle and shoot. I’ve never had mine malfunction. Ever. Threw a (now discontinued) Moerse Lekker barrel shroud on mine which really improves the look, more aligned with the rest of the gun. Added a second charging handle on the other side, a red dot, a light, and a Magpul Afg1 vertical foregrip (need the optional bottom rail) and it’s ready to go as a home defense gun. Fun at the range too.

I have one chambered in 9x19, and I have had it since the product debuted on the retail market. Not one malfunction that wasn't ammo or mag related. I like it way better than my brother's MPX and it is more accurate in my book and to my brother's chagrin. I use a Vortex red dot and a Sightmark x3 magnifier. at 200 yards with about a 6 inch holdover I can hit steel in the middle. I will most likely never sell it. I have it set-up for 92 series magazines as well.

I did the sierra papa trigger upgrade. Trigger pull dropped to about 5lbs . Was easy to upgrade by myself. Love this with a Sig Romeo on top

Been enjoying your videos and the other week I was finally able to track down and purchase a used Beretta CX4 Storm not got it yet till waiting for it to be shipped out from a Cabela store in Colorado to a store near me in Virginia and do all the required paperwork before getting my hands finally on it what sold it for me was the interchangeability of the parts from right to left shooting and able to use different magazines

These have always been well regarded, and on my list. I have always considered it better than Ruger. A Gen 2 with updates is well overdue. They would sell well, especially now if the price point was on.

The best carbine I've ever owned (not many) is a beretta cx4 storm 9mm and a 45. I bought the 9mm when I was 19 and was sold to me because it was a rifle but had to always go back to the place I bought it to get ammo because I was 19 🤦♂️ I'm 33 now. That is the most reliable and accurate gun I have ever owned. We've put tens of thousands of rounds through it and still dosent jam (with new mags, had a issues with the originals later in its life)and with iron sights still has a 1" group within 100'.

This gun is compatible with most other Beretta handguns. There is an adaptor that gets installed in the CX4 to swap it to another mag. Kind of a PITA, but doable. In addition, you can take a 9mm 30 round mag and mod it into a 20 rd 40S&W mag. Last time I looked, there was no really Hi Cap mags for the 40 version.

The magazine interchangeability is just an insert in the grip. You can buy it with either Beretta 92, px4, or 9000 series magazine insert included, and buy the others to make it interchange with any of those mags.

I just sold mine yesterday. I miss it already. But it was in .45 and the mags were only 8 shots. And I could not get anything larger. Very nice gun and in 45 that bolt was hefty.

When I bought my CX4 9mm Beretta years back, in an intent to pair it with my FS92, and have interchangeable mags, the little I knew that the one a picked up came with Beretta PX4 magazines. I had to separately purchase FS92 magazine well insert, to be able to use it with FS92 mags. And yes, these inserts would work with 9 mm and .40 S&W mags. Bottom line, if you are on a market for a Beretta CX4 Storm carbine, verify what magazine type it's coming with.

Bought one for my girl too. 5.5 pounds with a TRS25 and empty 20 rnd magazine....she cant miss and its compatible with her M9A3. It's just fun to shoot. The 92 model does have a PX4 adapter as well.

I have one of these and love it. I put a Vortex Strikefire II on it and it is the perfect height. I tried a few others, but the iron sight shrouds are too tall for my other red dots. Everything I fed it, it shot without a single jamb.

You can convert PX to 92 and back via a separate insert. Drill out the SR rear sight hole a little and make it a true ghost ring. Best flush fit 20 round mags are the Mec-Gar 18rd with +2 baseplate...

I have had the 45acp cx4 storm since I was 18. First gun i ever bought. I was able to buy the ammo at 18 since the place I bought it from knew what firearm it was for.

matthew dingman Oic. I knew about federal handgun purchasing restrictions (21) vs long gun purchasing restrictions (18) but didn’t consider that extending to ammo. It’s unfortunate the law allows an 18 yo to have a PCC (a long gun) but not buy the ammo for it. Wtf, even?!

Mounted a TLR RM2 and a motion activated red dot on mine and run the Mecgar 20rd mags that are almost flush with the magwell. Great little carbine for bedside/farm use. You can roll an armadillo in the middle of the night and not even ring your ears and still have enough gun for 2 legged varmints if needed.

Here’s a bit of movie trivia for ya. They used the CX4 Storm in the later TV series of Battlestar Galactica. Their Storm Troopers carried them towards the end of the series. They thought it looked like a cool space gun.

Great grouping! Overall, it looks like you're having fun. I have an Egunner bid in on one for my wife. My AR is just too heavy for the smurfs to carry as a battle rifle and she loves her M9A3 and 92FS backup. Good to know she can use the 11-15 round and 4-17 round mags she already has. I'm sure we'll pick up a 20 just in case.

Mec-gar has a 20 rnd mag that fits and functions very handsomely in the cx4. Nearly flush fit.

I bought one in 2004 or so when they first came out. I found out that Promag Ruger P99 mags work really well, I still have several 30 and 20. Mags made for Taurus 92 clone won't work, they won't stay in the gun. The first shot or if you give the handle a bump the mag will fall out.

You guys are lucky to have the freedoms you have in America. Here in Australia it's hard enough to get guns but today the government closed all Gun shops in Perth with no notice and did it very quietly I think to stop ammo sales during this covid crisis
