Hi Andy, Just gone and bought this model ( Umarex M9A3 ) Bonus is ITS GOT A METAL SLIDE ( you mentioned in your video it was plastic. ) I have now fully stripped it down to individual parts ( literally ) and filed / fettled / lapped, all working parts to give REALLY smooth action. The internal workmanship is exceptional, with all moving parts / contact surfaces being metal. This is a very good well made Air Pistol.

Hi Andy, nice to see you back, and great video! It might be worth mentioning that the left-hand thread is there to negate any attached suppressor working loose during operation. The M9A3 was Beretta's offering in the trials for the US Army's new pistol trials; with the intention of replacing the venerable M9. Sig Sauer, ultimately, beat out Glock Inc., FN and Beretta, the maker of the current M9 service pistol, in the competition for the Modular Handgun System, or MHS, program. The ultimate winner being the Sig 320. I believe a BB version of this is also available at Drapers. The colour, which is in line with many FDE colour variants, across many different weapons platforms (such as the FN SCAR and Colt M45 CQBP - the current US Marines' sidearm), relates to many years of active military operations in places with lots of... err... sand. I'm somewhat surprised that the U.S. Military chose the Sig P320 given that it has been shown not to be drop safe should the weapon fall on the back of the slide. It was shown that the inertia of the fall could cause the trigger to move to the rearward position and detonate the primer of chambered round. I'm guessing in general that the military is simply trying to move toward weapons that are cheaper to manufacture and easier to teach new soldiers to use. I personally love the design of the M9A3! Given the tendency for people under stress to put their finger on the trigger early, the length of the double action pull in my opinion gives a bit more time to think before you send a round down range and decreases the likelihood of a negligent discharge giving a higher degree of overall added safety.

I recently purchased the M9A3 airgun and really love it. It is perfect for my needs and fits my small hands well. I am left-handed and like that I can switch the magazine release drop button to the other side myself. The full auto capability is the main selling point for me. But… The first one I bought failed after about 50 BBs. This was due to the plastic component at the top of the magazine that holds the BB in place to be fired. I returned it for a full replacement of the entire air gun and it too failed after about 50 BBs. I returned it for a full refund and I'm going to wait until the factory re-designs and fixes this defect. Then I am going to buy it. My intention is to actually have two and a number of magazines readily available around the house. So until the Covid event caused sellout rush is over and the manufacturer fixes the defect don't get one.

Nice video. This is the first video I´ve seen and you´ve earned one new subscriber. I purchased this specific gun just today because my VFC/Umarex Glock 17 Gen. 3 CO2 BB broke down, but will hopefully be repaired. Now I am even more excited about this gun!

The fact that you have to put forward such a disclaimer is truly a sad sign of the times. You clearly appreciate the iconic battle proven design of the Beretta 90 series of pistols as many shooting enthusiasts do. It makes me slightly sad and also very glad that I live in the U.S. where we have the 2nd amendment protecting our ability to keep and bear arms. Your video is still very informative. I could see purchasing one these bb pistols for backyard practice for days when getting to the shooting range is a bit difficult. Best regards :)

Bellerophon 911 : thank you for your comments, sadly even though you guys have the 2nd amendment, it was the USA that closed the Airgun channels down earlier this year and the disclaimer is to try to prevent it happening again. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your understanding.

finally got to shoot it the other day and its an amazing pistol to shoot, love the blow back action. i read on the back of the box amd it says that the front and rear sights are fixed but when i was shooting it i noticed the front blade could be moved to the right and back to the center theres also an allen key screw in the top of the blade but no allen key for it in the box, i found that odd

I found around 188 videos someone had shared of his over here. So I downloaded them for him, and re uploaded them for him on his FB video page. I am on over 35 airgun groups from around the world over there; moderator on about 4, and admin of my own page called [ P.O.P] PLINKING OVER PAPER were all kinds of alternative targets (rather than the standard circular bull's eye ones) are shared. Commercial ones, homemade ones, and even some post shooting challenges. One popular idea was to shoot old medicine you don't need anymore or the various ways of shooting playing cards. I haven't uploaded my video of me shooting a can in half with my pump action sawed off airsoft shotgun, single shot. My videos can get pretty nutty sometimes. My goal is to educate (like you do) and unite ALL airgunners, no matter the power source nor the type of ammo... BB, pellet, or airsoft. I collect ONLY replicas or guns based on a real steel version.

Full metal appears to be the Umarex M92A1 in black. Made in China, metal yes, known as Chineesium , aka pot metal.

I have a 9a3 6mm bb green gas blow back Registering at 360fps with 0.20g bb And 430 fps with silencer as extended barrel

Yes but the Nickel version is non-blowback so technically it has no slide at all...

The chrome beretta m92 non blowback is a pellet shooter, very nice looking piece, accurate but pricey at over £200

Can somebody help me please? I have very little knowledge about the internal components. I just got this exact M9A3. But when it locks open, you can her a rattling noise. I don’t think its the firing pin cause it works properly. And it only rattles when it’s locked open. Is it normal?

Additionally. The safety is a bit weird to engage, when you take it off it clicks nicely, but when you put it on it’s kind of stuck and doesn’t really make a click sound. Could it be related?

Quick question.....is there such as thing as an 'M92' ? All i've ever seen are these models: 92, 92F, 92FS, 92A1, and M9 (US Service). So should it actually be 'Model 93A1' etc... I'm not nit-picking over Andy's choice phrases here as these are often referred to as 'M92' or 'M92F' etc, but I would like some clarification if possible.

Hmmmm Amazon says it is an 18 round bb magazine. I wish it shot pellets and was more powerful, at least 450 fps. The 92 might be in my future.

Very nice review, and airgun. Thanks for sharing. Although from 7:48 and on, I couldn't help but notice your lack of proper safety handling the gun, with your trigger finger not being on the side of the gun prior to shooting, and not returning over there after the magazine was empty. It should be automatic and a reflex. Even if it's just a BB airgun.

@@mari2x474 Always better to be safe than sorry. And I'm convinced that Andy would agree with me on that. The basic safety rules on how to properly handle a gun apply to any gun. 1-Always assume the gun is loaded, 2-Never point the muzzle at anything you don't intend to shoot, 3- Trigger finger off the trigger and outside the trigger guard when not shooting. Even though this is "just an airgun", it can injure someone (one could lose an eye for example) with steel BBs.

I'm about to send my second one back. First one - the safety malfunctioned and sent a BB when it was supposed to be safe. Second one has BB's flying out of the ejector port, and gertting jammed up inside between the nozzle and the slide. They don't even make it through the barrel. Tried Umarex brand Stainless BB's - did not improve function. Hugely disappointed. Probably get another M9A1, which has been working fine for a month.

Hi Wes, I could use your help. Received my M9A3 yesterday and twice it has done the same thing as yours, but is hard to replicate. It's when I'm putting the safety on. That what yours was? I'm thinking of flat returning it. Thanks.

Mine has sent 3 bb's downrange when taking the safety off or flipping from semi to auto. Unacceptable. The trigger is absolutely garbage. Sending it back.

Love Life Yes. The box that made a small appearance tells you it is by Umarex. But if you want a metal Beretta, then the UX Beretta 92 mod A1 might be a choice for you too.

Hi there. Well that’s not the first time I’ve been told that. So I did infact do a review on silencers/ suppressor terminology. Maybe you will find it interesting my friend. The original patent put in by the inventor Mr Maxim was for a ‘silencer’, no mention of a suppressor. Thanks for your comment.
