Im hitting the front end of my amp with a ton of gain, would this amp work well for distorted metal?

absolutely! just make sure to set the input gain on the amp first before turning up! you’ll want to get it to a point where the OL indicator to flash slightly, then back off a bit :-) from there, turn up the Master Volume and proceed with melting faces!
