For Halo, it ain't just game. It changed the game and is one of the games that made consoles as a whole blow up.

The thing about Halo was that, for a lot of us, it was something that brought people together. The current devs are neglecting the social aspects that made it so popular. Nothing we better than starting off with a couple of friends or by yourself and ending a session with a full party that you built up by lobbying up with other players.

It wasn’t just a game. Halo 1,2,3 are some of the best games ever made hands down and they had to greatest ranking system of all time (imo) after reach came out i hated it and i never touched another halo other than ODST. It’s so sad how 343 did halo. It breaks my heart

@@sieveign the moment they added powers and abilities to the game, that was the start of the end no cap. It didn’t make people better or worse cause if you can get a 50 general then that didn’t matter. I just didn’t like the direction. I do agree forge on reach was amazing

Bro I remember playing Halo CE every time in the computer lab after school and the teacher of the class installed it on all computers and our principal found out and he had to take it off but those games got toxic at times lol

I read allat and not once was enticed to even attempt to maybe perhaps in the near future if theres notthing else to do ... finally give it a try. . Admit it. It was the ONLY sc fi fps too choose from at the time.

I was introduced to Halo on 2013 at my high school. Our high school provided free Chromebooks to do our work on Some friends of mine were passing around sd cards with pirated games, and Halo CE was one of them. We would play random BTB LAN parties at school during class sometimes.

You know he's speaking the truth when he's got the beanie gamerpic. Probably had the "UNDERGROUND" gamerzone too. Man I miss early Xbox 360. There was that weird period of time where the xbox guide was blue. Heavily associate that with Halo 3 personally.

Halo three is so crazy to me it had a crazy vibe as a game and i loved it

@mana256k fax. I personally never played halo other the reach gampaign. But one of my favorite games (also made by bungie) is destiny 2. Even thought they do mess up sometimes, there's still no "pay 2 win" mechanic. And the cosmetics for the most part aren't paygated. But I can imagine if a whole other company came in and added lootboxes and shitty pay 2 win exotics id be just as pissed.

I wasn’t able to play halo much when I was younger (let alone online), but as a massive fan of tf2, I felt it the same. Seeing valve just slowly stop giving a fuck and letting so many issues pile up is so saddening, as you said, I got love for the game cause it helped get through bs and let me socialize with people for a little bit.

So true, i grew up with halo 1, i played it everyday at my friends house and i mean everyday, me and the homies would go Right to his house when school was over and we'd game until we had to go home for dinner. We did the same for halo 2. Then came halo 3, i bought the 360 so we could play it since homie couldn't afford the new console. And now we played at my place, and it continued. I met people from NA and UK and it's my time gaming on halo 3 that taught me english, all the people i met i no longer know where they are, but damn do i cherish those times looking back at it. Like you said you REALLY had to be there, it was just the best shit ever.

All of this and tbh it can be said for so many titles. They’ve all for the most part fallen apart the same way and it’s part of why I don’t game as much as I used to or get excited for new games. Everything just feels like a cash cow and when the big money stops coming in they just move on to new things so they can find more ways to charge you. Like needing to pay $7 for the color red when of halo just had it. Like what tf is the logic??
