One of the best parts of Holmes county Amish county is the rolled up sidewalks. You can curate wine, cheese, crackers and desserts by day and then sit outside and enjoy them in the evening. Glorious. You guys do the most comprehensive hotel reviews. Thanks.

Ohio is such a diverse place to visit. Kings Island, Cedar Point, Amish Country, Rock and Football Hall of Fame's. Big cities, small towns, great art museums, Air Force museum award winning zoos and numerous Presidential sites and stunning Put-in-Bay on Lake Erie. I highly suggest a visit. Plus the beautiful Hocking Hills in SE Ohio.

i do the same exact thing! i bring lysol and the hubby rolls his eyes as i spray all door handles, toilet flushers, sink knobs, tv remote, phone, thermostat, and i even pull down the bed and spray the mattress and pillows. and around the bed to kill off any bed bugs. just sayin’, lol

Loved this video, from watching the two of you, the music was spot on, and the hotel and grounds were beautiful. Besides the stained rug, the walkways around the indoor pool seemed narrow to me, which would make me nervous especially when they’re wet. Thanks for sharing this beautiful location with us. Great video! I think I would love staying at Carlisle Inn @ Sugar Creek . Looks like everything is right in the area- Theater, gift shop, restaurant!! Looks like a decent size room. I agree they need to take up the carpet and put laminate or tile down. David and I are thinking that this is the hotel we stayed in when we went to Ohio in 2011. Another great video!

ok, my last post on this one i promise, as its at the end, but as far as being a light sleeper, i am also, so, i bring along a tiny white noise machine that makes all diff kinds of fan sounds, but if you leave the a/c on fan, vs auto, that alone can cut out background noises too. great video, really enjoyed it and wow, what a nice place!

A very nice hotel.

I grew up in Berlin Heights,Ohio and was wow there there and why🤔🤷‍♂️ Then I actually read the title properly. Sure there is a nice winery there, Quarry Hills. But as a kid we visited that area on day trips to Amish country in the 70’s and early 80’s. I remember the great food and copious amounts. And the carriages as well, and the antique and craft stores. Great job on your videos as well!

We think alike Bobbie, i go into a room with disinfectant spray and wipes too and I clean everything anyone previously would touch, Toilet fluser, faucets, tv remote, light switches, door knob, where you pull to open fridge and microwave lol. No matter how clean the room looks I do it anyway. I also look at the sheet at the foot of the bed to see if theres any thing at that end from the previous persons feet! I was a "maid" at The Ritz Carlton and learned and saw a lot, plus i cleaned operating rooms in a big hospital in Dearborn Michigan. I loved that job the most. So I am very conscious of cleanliness like you. Good job, GREAT REVIEW and I agree, laminating flooring is the best idea. That place was clean! 😃👍🏻 thanks!

Hey J & B my friends and I stayed at the Berlin Grande in May! Two nights at the Dutch Host Inn and the third night at the Grande. Next trip it will be the Carlisle Inn in Sugarcreek.

good gosh, sorry, its me yet again, so, about the dirty carpet, it does look dirty and you will know once you walk around barefoot as we have in hotels and then i was like, we are keeping our sandles on til we hit the bed, lol. but the room looks spotless and the beautiful view is so pretty.

Cool nice amish hotel but new place maybe 10 or 15 years so funny you inspection like health Dept check on beds maybe bed bugs LOL do you heard so loud on wall noise by washroom ? Free breakfast buffet and I like hot tub and swimming pool inside not outside

If you're still doing ohio stops, check out Country Crust Bakery in Bainbridge OH. Amish Bakery but they do huge hot pretzels, sandwiches and even pizza. Oh and there Donuts are insane! It's cash only.

The hotel was quite nice and modern. With all the amenities it justifies the price. At the Lodging on the Square I paid $92/night thar included a hot breakfast (had to go to the sister hotel Berlin Hermitage). Your hotel 🏨 was much nicer, Lodging on the Square is more like a motel but it was renovated, clean and extremely quiet.

Could I ask y’all a question? Do y’all ever book rooms from those booking websites? I’ve always booked directly with the hotel but I saw some of the prices on the third-party websites and they are so low they seem too good to be true! I read some stories online about people having issues with these booking sites randomly canceling their reservations, etc. I will probably pay the higher prices and book on the hotel site just in case.

We stayed there in February and never again.. Staff was extremely rude, the room was filthy, and the breakfast was a joke.
