The escort of the Berlin police can often be seen during state visits and ambassador accreditations. In this video we accompany the motorcyclists of the Berlin police escort and traffic group (BVHu) during one of their regular driver training courses in the Berlin area. The spectator is taken into the preparation and the drive through the city traffic and over the motorway to the training ground in Kallinchen south of Berlin. After warming up with some acrobatic exercises, the training starts with different escort scenarios: curves, different road surfaces and everything always in a uniform V-shape. Then easy and difficult courses are completed and braking on gravel or at high speed on wet roads is practiced. A driving instructor has his say and there are further explanations from the off by motorbike instructor Dennis H., who himself is a member of the BVHu.
