My 16th Birthday. My mom sent me to this concert in a white stretched limo. Universal Amphitheater. One of the best 6 nights of my life.

A Broadway diva who knows how to deliver what the fans crave from a Broadway diva. And then there's the amazing artistry. She knows how to make me feel like she's singing only for me, and only for the music, only for the song. I think it's a category of genius, but whatever it is, I just love her.

I honestly forgot I watched this once before I was truly fascinated that this exists now that I said that I'm going to watch it all over again becuase it's Bernadette peters and I just adore her singing songs and being absolutely stunningly beautiful and gorgeous as well also her outfit that she wore for this also looks fantastically beautiful

Gosh at this point in my life I wish as a kid I listened to her type of music would have instantly claimed and soothed me if I was being fussy or something annyways though shes just beaming with personality and at 72 years old now quite the star studded person with a beaming bubbley personality added to her soothing serenading voice it just goes to show you that Bernadette is good no matter what role shes in even as rita from animaniacs she just knows how to nail such a beautiful personality to her

Oh yes finally someone one one of these types of videos mentioned her role as rita from animaniacs besides me I've been doing that for a while since I've started listening and watching her performances and as you can all tell form my profile pic I love rita becuase of this lovley lady who graced her with her star studded voice and I'm quite grateful for that for rita is basically a cat version of Bernadette minus the curly hair and the lovley dresses that she wears during these performances shes so good at these concerts I love her laugh and her entire performance as a whole shes quite a lovely lady yet I find her quite attractive and shes quite the stunning beauty and well I've got to say shes quite the lovely lady with a soothing and serenading voice to her shame she only did rita for so long also glad that when wakkos wish came around rita and runt where finally able to get a home together and I'm so glad for them now as for the reboot will they come back I hope so but if and only if they bring back Bernadette Peter's and frank welker to reprise thier roles as both rita and runt other then that though amazing video of all of her performances

I saw her at the Desert Inn in Las Vegas, on a double bill with Peter Allen. Ringside, front and center, with my arms resting on the stage; old school Vegas. :) I found my way backstage, knocked on her dressing room door. Her friend answered and invited me in. She offered me a drink and we had a nice chat for about 20 minuets. Peter Allen was not so nice, and all I did was ask him to sign my program in the hall.

It’s a bob mackie (designer) gown - there is a lot of structure and boning in the bodice - it won’t slip down because it’s supported by the structure around her waist and hips

It's amazing that the trademark girlish 'rasp' in her voice, and the technique of arriving almost late on every note are completely absent from this (excellent) performance ... she must have learned those tricks later :-)

🤔 I'll have to go listen for her raspy voice on a more recent video. I hope it is not raspy, because that means damaged vocal chords and I sure would like her to sing as long as possible. Some quit singing in their 50's because their voice isn't what it used to be. 😒

A great singer's conductor keeps his/her eyes on the singer....you're listening for the breath, rubato, and watching body language for cues from the singer. It's not conducting by rote....every beat is placed and adjusted slightly.

She's NOT a great Singer..in the way BARBRA in her Prime was..or Garland...or Ella...Or Karen Carpenter. But, she does have that Broadway Diva approach and is entertaining and Charismatic.
