We have just bought the Bernina 335 and want to tell you our initial thoughts!
This video is NOT sponsored in any way.
We take you through stitches, sewing some shirring, some different stretch and woven fabrics plus our general opinion. After we have spent a few months sewing on this machine we wil follow up with an in depth review and more honest opinions.

I bought this during lockdown as my very first sewing machine and I love it. I take it to classes and it just makes everything seem easy. Highly recommended.

I needed ( wanted) an extra machine. I was sorta of thinking of a ( vintage Singer Featherlight ) It didn't want to have to worry about fixing or learning a new machine. I just bought the Bernina 335 so I would have something to use when my Bernina 570qE was in the shop or grandkids came over. SO HAPPY with this machine. I absolutely love it.

I just bought a Bernina 335 a few weeks ago & used it for the first time yesterday and I absolutely love it. It is my extra sewing machine & I manly bought it for classes & retreats because of the lighter weight. My other Sewing machine is a Bernina 530 & is heavier at over 30 lbs. . I used my 335 in class yesterday & could not be happier.

Thank you for the video :) I got mine a few months ago but been lacking motivation to sit down and sew on it. Looking forward to just making some things. Hope to see more videos in the future as you learn new things with her.

Hey Mitchell, Sometime we feel like sewing and sometimes it's hard to get excited about it, completely normal. This machine is awesome, once you feel like it I'm sure the machine will make you a little more excited about each project :) Thanks for watching

Me to Bought academy b05 Nice little basic. Bumped up to b38 Wow I'm spoiled I want more But more what ? I'm very satisfied happy with b38. I have the sailrite for heavy. If you can get it under, it will plow right on through. 🤺💐

Sounds like you are enjoying your new machine!! Yay! I recently upgraded to the Bernina 435- all new to me as I’d never had a computerised machine. I love the control you can have over the stitch length/width and handy features like needle up/down. Happy sewing :) - @sew_everyday

Hi Rebecca :) Oh yes that’s a beauty too! I love the jumbo bobbin feature in the 435. I am just so impressed in the build quality and design layout of the Bernina sewing machines. I love the super stretch stitch too. They have certainly won my sewing heart!

Thank you for your video. Why is this machine shaking so much? I am looking for to buy a bernina and trying to choose between bernina 931 or new bernina 335. A brand know for it's stability, however the new models just worries me. Are they the same strong machines as the old ones?

Thank you. I would've liked to hear the sound of the machine instead of music though. Is it true you can't regulate the speed when using the foot pedal?

No, it’s not true. You can go faster or slower by controlling the foot controller.

It looks really small. I have heard from people that returned it and traded up to 400 series. I don't use a lot of features on my machine but I love the auto thread cutter. That has been a game changer for me.

I suppose it comes down to personal preference, I'm really happy with the size any bigger and I think I'd have issues moving it around (as I like to sew in a few different areas). Auto thread cutters are such a game chnager! I agree

I think I prefer the speedy threader on the Brother & Juki if it came to choosing between an auto thread cutter or auto thread. Just my opinion. I do have this machine though :)

Thank you for your video. I’ve had a 330 for some years now. So you purchased it recently in 2020? I thought the 3 series was discontinued a few years back. I had no idea stitch 9 was a stretch stitch. I’m not very good with stretch. Did you use the same elastic bobbin thread for all three fabrics? Maybe that’s why I didn’t know it was a stretch stitch. I have to try it out.

Does that machine has needle down function whenever it stops and does it have speed control? Thank you.

I just bought this sewing machine. Yes, you can set it to stop needle down or needle up. You control the speed with the foot pedal. There is a speed control lever when using the “sew on/off” button on the machine (if you don’t/can’t use the foot pedal?), but it doesn’t control the speed while using the foot pedal.

Ofc there’s a bobbin winder built in on top, that’s totally standard on Berninas… she just didn’t use it because she was handwinding shirring elastic, not thread (you can see it top right in front of the green thread at 4:05) 🤗
