We have a Q20 and I see that you are using Aurifil thread in yours, which we have had continuous breakage with. We also want to use a cotton thread, so we switched to King Tut, a thicker and longer staple cotton thread. What's your secret for not having breakage? I'd love to switch back to Aurifil! Thank you!

Interesting, I just haven’t had any problems and also haven’t really experimented with other threads either. Perhaps it’s to do with the tuning of the machine, tension adjustments, or maybe just differences in fabric? I’ve had the top thread break a handful of times but very rarely, maybe once in 20-30 hours of work.

@@FlamingLotusDesign yes, thanks- we’ve had it tuned & serviced by our local dealership, we’ve worked carefully with the bobbin tensioner, and still breaks, tried a variety of needles and the breaks are like 20 to 30 times in a quilt

It’s an individual that I found in a Bernina longarm Facebook group. They are also a longarmer themselves, and the trays are very popular amongst the bernina crowd.
