Susumu Hirasawa is too perfect for Berserk, but seriously if you haven’t heard his original music do so. Some of his best stuff is hard to find since he doesn’t upload to any streaming sites, but finding obscure Hirasawa music is literally finding hidden gems.

@@sayonara816 Bit late to reply but his two solo album that resemble most his Berserk stuff is Technique of Relief and Siren. Both absolutely amazing in their own rights. A torrent of his whole discography is avaible on nyaa. Sucks he isn't on streaming services I think his music could be way more popular worldwide

@Limited Infinity 2016/17 Berserk is mid at best. Trust me, I've watched it in its entirety. Doesn't hold a candle to the manga or previous adaptations.

@Limited Infinity But it's berserk. A "Mid" adaptation isn't acceptable for a series as good as Beserk. Of course people are going to treat it as terrible when the original is *_that good_* in comparison. The 2016/17 adaptation is not the way to experience berserk nor appreciate it's amazing story, and most will tell you you're better off reading the manga than a "mid" anime adaptation. At least for Berserk, mediocrity or lower just isn't good compared to the original stuff. Not to mention, people are subject to their opinions and critism is warranted for such a popular series as Beserk. In my opinion, the new anime is horse shite, even in comparison to the older anime. The pacing, animation, and consistency in those things are incredibly important when it comes to making an enjoyable anime, and the 2016/17 adaptation just failed to deliver in all those departments.

@@justoneguy2487 nah, it easily is a 9/10. it just doesn't seem like an anime cause of all of the 3d, and that's the only thing most kids are crying about. you also got the upgraded blu-ray edition, which is well made. it's got a great soundtrack, incredible pacing considering it is a show after all, perfect voice actors, the action scenes really pack a punch, and much much more. but of course, it's "cooler" to follow the hate train.

I'd have it playing while reading the manga whenever the Berserker Armor took over. I'd play the old Indra during some of Guts' rampages before but this version fits the idea of him losing all control.

It's bittersweet news at best isn't it? I haven't kept up... I always felt like while of berserk was great story telling and amazing art that the real story was the golden age arc. The rest of it is just Guts living a hell and persevering ... probably just because same as always, he doesn't want to die. Kentaro I'm crying as I comment this. In sorry for joking about your dying before finishing Berserk. I know I am too insignificant to have set forth that karma alone but we've all tasted the tears of someone's fears and made a silly joke hadn't we? Put your grasses on... :(

Am I seriously the first one to make a comment? Well then just would like to say if I won the lottery I'd buy the rights to berserk and pay studio Madhouse to redo the abomination that is 2016 and 17 berserk. I'd ask them to also animate the lost children arc and sell it in a DvD bundle with the remake for a additional 30$ on top of the normal DvD price. Cause you'd be getting 8 more episodes of the anime. I'd request the OLD berserk cast to voice it. For the English dub. And the golden age arc movie cast for the Japanese dub

Ruslan, go watch Land of the Lustrous to see a real 3D anime. Berserk on all levels of 3D are appalling. You could even watch Ajin, Appleseed and even Inuyashiki has a few better 3D animated scenes than the entirety of Berserk. IDC about anything else said really. Just here to hate on the 2016/17 garbage animation. Not because it's 3D, but because it's garbage.

I've done this several times. But one occasion I remember cleary more than the others: My mind was creating a Scenario where Japan would Attack the whole world with demonic forces. Yokai, Shura and Demonic Samurai riding through the Night Sky and slaying all what crosses their path. Indra was playing while this happens. Was a good high. Oh, and it was the original Indra, I just wanted to mention because of your comment.

God, berserk is a masterpiece as we all know. I feel so sad that it’s not as rated as it should be and yes I’m well aware it’s not criminally underrated but still, a genius work of fiction as this NEEDS to be the best of the best. But still I feel like if it was as mainstream as naruto dragon ball ect. Miura will feel pressure and make the story turn to shit like dragon ball and naruto but still...who knows. Either way today is kentaros birthday and so I wish him a happy birthday and many more, I can only imagine what he’s doing right now at this moment (7:50pm as I’m writing this) I bet he’s having a drink but taking the change in time into consideration it might be like 5 am or so for him so he’s probably asleep. the original was so simple and it felt way more calm, like looking at the stars and knowing they are balls of fire, this one feels more like the clashing of waves in the sea
