Miuras character writing is just pure genius in Berserk. All he wrote in Berserk he wrote from the heart as we know his actual life was an inspiration for it. He knew this work of art was his dream, and he wrote it as such. His dream was fulfilled as people loved and appreciated the story he wanted to share with the world.

​@@WailOfDoom Im writing a story and it inspires me. I've fallen into Berserk not a long time ago, watching the 97 anime. And now i don't even know how something that perfect has been made. Every drawing is perfect, every single one. The storyline is amazing and the characters are insanely good. I wanted to do something like him from the start, something near perfection. But now that i've seen it has already been made, i know i can do it. I hope everything will go as planned, because i've been working on it for 1 year and i have a lot of work left so i guess it will take time, but i want it to be worth those years

I watched this before berserk. Can confirm I thought Guts was a side character or some type of antagonist, and Griffith was the main character. Absolutely loved Guts story though and berserk entirely.

Honestly griffith is inspiring. Just his devotion to his dream and they way he speaks about them is something I learned at a time when I kinda had a more nihlestic and cynical outlook about life. But having dreams and things to strive for really changed my outlook and made me appreciate life more in pursuit of my own dreams

@@justinsinger2505 I'm glad to hear, for me, the themes of Berserk, and the dynamic between Guts and Griffith really resonated with me. I haven't really been nihilistic, but I have always wanted to do something greater than myself and stand out, and not just living for the sake of it. Being content and "happy" in of itself is not that valuable to me. Maybe having a significant other or a lot of money would make me happier, but I would still wake up feeling empty, longing for my dream of not living a life that's not for granted. Anyways, hope you will come back to this video if you ever lack hope or fall of your path. Keep on struggling ❤

Not at all, Griffith represents the opposite of a nihilistic mindset. He has a belief in "Everything", which is what makes him strife to become a person who just doesn't get swept along in the tides of fate or society; he wants to rise above status and societys shackles so that he can stand out and do something greater than himself. Tbh when I watched Berserk for the first time I felt like I was in Gut's shoes when Griffith spoke. I've never wanted to live just because I was born either.

​@@freddystripes4573actually i think in one of the infamous berserk edits the creator talks about how Griffith's and Guts' rokes have switched since Griffith gave into fate and became a godhand's lackey (doorman literally) and Guts became the one with a real ambition of giving rest to his fallen comrades trapped in the endless vortex and protecting his ever more growing group of people naturally drawn to him, like people used to by Griffith, unlike now when theres outside forces forcing people to submit (example Mule) .. yet again as most of us will cheer on Guts, if you ask any ex Kushan slave Griffith is their saviour, but he is a false Messiah, making the danger so he can play pretend hero... Genius of Miuras writing is while i can imagine what Guts' vrp will do with the causality bringing upon the meetin of very specific characters like Daiba, Rickert and Molda, also Guts with a beherit but as much as i try i cannot figure out Griffith's or should i say Void's plan, if there is one

Perfectly said. An antichrist. Berserk was the last manga I read before I became a Christian. Berserk opened up my eyes to true virtue. What makes berserk so different is the way that the character's passions are portrayed(so full of emotion). The one true perfect passion is the Passion of Christ.

I'm glad listening to my video gives you confidence, but sad to hear you are depressed. I don't know why you're depressed, but know that many people will go through such a period in their lives. Seeing Guts for example, was depressed when he didn't feel himself an equal to Griffith, and had to therefore leave the Band of The Hawk, even though they meant a lot to him. Find an overarching goal for yourself and work towards that and I'm sure that will help you feel that there is more meaning in everyday life. 🌠

I still haven't finished the manga, I really want to savour the masterpiece that is Berserk, but I'm happy you felt that way listening! 😉
