For Guts and Rickert, it's been months since they last seen each other, but it's been almost 22 years in real life since they last talked.

Rickertt explaining to Guts on how he basically gave Griffith the mother of all Pimp Slaps will no doubt cheer the guy up, at least for a little while anyway.

New berserk chapter day is always a special day

It's worth noting that this is the biggest convergence of important characters since the Eclipse.

I'm starting to believe that the ability to damage Griffith is tied to the mental/spiritual energy of the one attacking him, entirely separate from their physical strength. Guts flies into a near mindless frenzy whenver he sees Griffith, meanwhile Rickert remained poised and was able to direct his anger without losing his sense of self.

Remember Rickert promised to tell Silat what he knows about Griffith, so that’s most likely why him and the Kushans tracked guts down since they probably know about the eclipse, godhand, and Griffiths true nature.

Guts being found unconscious by the Kushan reminds me a lot of him when he and the band of the hawk found Griffith in the torture chamber.

This is the first time Rickert and Guts have been in the same location in 22 years

Ever since the Rickert slapped Griffiths prettyboy face, Rickert moved way up my favorite Berserk character list. He didnt punch him, he didnt fight him. He gave him a BIATCHSLAP. Because he doesnt deserve more. Rickert. The Man. The Legend.

Since this arc is called "Eastern Exile", this more or less confirms that: 1. The Kushan Empire lies East of Midland 2. In a previous chapter Griffith said he will expand towards the East which means he is either expanding his Kingdom towards Ganishkas empire land OR he might gun towards the Bakiraka Hideout to get his revenge on Rickert

I don't believe all of those Kushans are Bakiraka. Most of them must be remnants of Ganishka's mega army who survived their boss turning into a towering giga demon. And when your boss goes full Azatoth it's typically time to find a new job.

Being told there's a new Chapter next month as opposed to Next year only heals the average struggler going through the journey. I feel like we're in our Elfheim Arc of the new Chapter releases.

Would like to note that Daiba, if he's actually there, recognized the berserker armor and is probably the next best thing considering its creator is gone. Assuming he knows anything, I'm willing to bet good money.

Casca fighting her Demons, breaking out of the mind spell, and grabbing sword AND PURGE from the inside 3. Casca/Ricker saves Guts from the Beast. (Well not SAVE cause he prolly needs the beast to fight Griffith, but maybe bring him back) 4. I still don't know what to expect for their moon Child tho 5. I know someone we love is probably going to die, but i just hope TO GOD GRIFFITH DIES ASWELL 6. also not to make magic as a thing to solve almost all problems (the magic is gone now, but idk) 7. Zodd also needs to die and honestly think only Skull Knight can do it 8. I completely forgot about the God Hand. If Guts kills Grittith, wouldn't the be scared or kill Guts immediately?? 9. You don’t know me but we’ve walked two cites together this year. I left home in search of greener grass and found nothing but trouble. I often think it’s cringe when people say stuff like “your content saved my life.” And shit like that. So I guess all I have to say is thank you for drowning out the silence. It’s nice to listen to something while you wait for the world to end.

Gotta say the art looks significantly better than the last chapter. Seems like miuras assistants are more confident with using darker colors and bolder lines.

Got to wonder why Rickert is in Kushan armor and surrounded by rank and file soldiers, shouldn't he be up with Silat and the others? I guess the case could be made that he wants to be in one of the first waves of the boarders to find Guts but part of me wonders if he's got to start from the bottom with the Kushans to get a decent amount of respect.

You have to think that the final battle will involve Guts leading a force against Griffith, resembling his time with the Band of the Hawk. I theorized it may even have some hints of the Battle of Doldery where Griffith’s fixation with Guts will lead to his demise just like what happened to Gennon. But that’s just my theory anyway😂

Naval Autist here. I have one gripe with the chapter. If the Kushans long prepared their journey to the Sea Horse, then by the time they arrived, the gang should've been able to see them coming from MILES away. Believe me, even in a storm, when a fleet of Xebecs come to you with thousands of men grunting and chanting, you see it coming.

Things are getting tense. Griffith wants to march his army east, the kushans i believe are hidden in the east, and now guts with any luck will go back to their hidden city and think of a plan on how to counter griffith who is again marching east. This can NOT be a good thing, but i sense a very big build up happening.

Looking and the newest chapters, and finding this….y’all, I really hope that Guts can truly grieve, and work through his grief with the party before what’s sure to be a grand finale. He’s always confronted himself, and his enemies, staying stoic and strong (at least, outwardly)but has he ever truly broken down and confronted his grief? Has he ever been truly vulnerable around his friends? I’m not sure anymore, and since feeble flame, he’s almost always put casca first. When I hit rock bottom and sobered up, I felt like he is now. Hardly able to move and an absolute wreck. Facing my grief, and having a support group helped me move forward and heal. I actually looked to guts, when I was going through all that. I admitted that I needed to relent and let God and people in my life, change my ways because I couldn’t do it alone. That strength that Guts gave me then has helped so much and carried me so far…man, I hope so hard the party and rickert (and maybe even Silat) can save Guts. That he can have that with them and allow himself to be saved from his beast of darkness. Then, he can go forth with them and save Casca

Well, its kinda nice to see Guts on his feet again, albeit he's not in a very good condition rn after he vomited from the Golden Age-referenced vision he had when he lifted his sword.

What I REALLY want to know is: 1. How will Guts and Rickert's first conversation/meeting go. How will Rickert react. 2. How did the Kushan know where Guts even was. Its not like Rickert knew or the Kushan knew. The only people who knew where they were going was the main cast and Rodericks crew. So my only guess is the Kushan used some kind of magic to find them, im thinking Daiba. Idk

It’s amazing to have more Berserk finally be out after a while. I assume maybe it took a while because maybe Mori is trying to figure out this new arc and think clearly about how it’s gonna work out and everything like that. Anyway, this new chapter was pretty cool. Nothing too significant happened in it for most of it, but it was pretty obvious it was gonna focus on the Kushans taking the ship hostage and rounding everyone up. Some people have said them putting Guts in chains is supposed to be similar to the Beast Of Darkness being put in chains so that’s makes me wonder if that’ll actually hold him or if he’s gonna go crazy on them. The biggest twist in the chapter though was seeing that Rickert is with them. I totally thought that. I thought it would make perfect sense for Rickert to be with them and I was right. All I can say is that I think he’s gonna see Guts and try to help him and maybe he’ll explain what happened when he was in Falconia and maybe Guts can tell him what happened with Griffith destroying Elfhelm and so on and I still stand by my original statement that I think Guts, the rest of the party, Rickert, Erica and the Kushans are gonna team up to invade Falconia and fight Griffith and the rest of his Apostles and maybe this could result in everyone exposing Griffith for who he really is and we’ll have the final fight with Guts and Griffith. I heard somewhere that Miura said Guts would go off on his own for a while, so I don’t entirely know how that’s gonna work. Maybe Rickert convinces the Kushans to let Guts go from being a prisoner and maybe he decides to leave while the others make a plan to invade Falconia and maybe Guts comes back when he hears about it and tries to save everyone from dying and decides to also do it to save Casca.
