This is in my opinnion the best Berserk theme by Susumu Hirasawa. It gets across the feeling of Berserk so perfectly.

The one game where you actually feel the weight of the sword.

Just heard the tragic news... I used to joke that Berserk wouldn't get finished before Miura passed away, considering how long he had been working on the series already and how much there evidently was left to be told before the story could be regarded as finished; I couldn't ever imagine that he would pass away only 54 years old... May he rest peacefully in Elfhelm.

Easily the best adaptation of Berserk outside manga, even playing this game is more worth of your time revisiting than watching Berserk 2016/17

Just played this game today and honestly- for it's time I'm so impressed!! It actually felt like Berserk, from how you could feel the weight of Guts' sword almost to the fact that boss battles felt so engaging and satisfying with every successful counter. Zodd's was phenomenal, every exchange in sword blows released an unbelievable amount of serotonin. If any game needed a remaster, it should be this!

Nicely done! The most I was able to do with my playthrough was force the resolution on my PS2 to 1080i for recording the game footage and then I would downsample it to 720p.

Can we just talk about the balls of the game devs had to do this game. From great voice acting, to great combat, to great animations, to the best adaptation of post-gold age material. I would love for a port of this game to be put on current gen consoles just so more people can have access to this game, but I'd just love a remake in the vain of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition
