Hurricane Beryl is now Tropical Storm Beryl as peak winds dropped to 70 mph amid the storm's trek over land Friday, but Beryl is forecast to regain strength again over the weekend.

Depending how long it stays over the gulf I predict it to hit Texas as a Cat 1, maybe even a Cat 2 if everything goes well for it and bad for us.

If it helps your forecast accuracy, you can remove San Antonio from your rainfall forecast. We won't get much if any at all. The storm will head north too soon. Drought for South-Central Texas will continue.

Also. It took a shorter path over land, quikening it's access to warm water. It will strengthen to a cat 2 maybe 3 before hitting Texas. These guys are dim.
