They won't stop at Palestine, some of the more extreme members of Israeli govt. expressed interest in restoring the ancient Kingdom of Judea that includes lands that are part of Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Egypt, Iraq, Syria. Israelis cannot accomplish this on their own so they will try to get the US involved and if Israel decides to go down that path, it would be disaster for the entire region.

A beautiful analogy for global northern historicism. Victors writing history is true in some cases - that is to say, in the global north, and to some extent English speaking non global north nations and individuals. Historicism, or the study of how “history” came to be, is very valuable. The population of the global north are taught what benefits their bourgeoisie’s political and ideological ideals and incentives. Curriculums being decided by governmental bodies is insanity. All information in this video is sourced, yet teaching and popular understanding of history is so vastly different. As a Swede, it has been jarring seeing our even further turn toward the right and bourgeois freedom since the fall of the Soviet Union. For all its flaws as it fell, the shift to unipolarity has, and is going to be even more, catastrophic.

I agree with the Palestinian American legal scholar who recently published a paper that argued Nakba should be a criminal category. As an Australian I live in the aftermath of an unresolved Nakba. I assume I’m the descendant of genocidal settlers but I don’t know exactly what happened to indigenous inhabitants to allow the building of my house on what used to be a waterway, part of a river system now destroyed. History is short and brutish when everything and everyone is annihilated.

the sheer size of the force they sent to crush the rebellion really puts into perspective how scary the 1936-39 uprising was to the british; it's so sad to think of an alternate history where the rebellion succeeds because the british aren't as committed to this little country giving them so much trouble

The amount of of information and knowledge i got from watching this channel is unbelievable! Especially here in germany we've been fed so many bs stories and have been propagandized to no end. This series on the history on Zionism, the series about the betrayal of the german revolution by social democrats, nazism surviving in Germany and and and I'm so glad and thankful that i found this channel and can learn so much from watching these videos. I want to see a collection of all of these quotes from founders of Isreal talking about ethnic cleansing. I want to switch out the words so it sounds like arabs talking about jews, then read them out to the supposedly liberal Isreal supporters in my family to hear what they think. Then after i hear their thoughts I'll explain what i did.

I noticed it mentioned Ben Gurion speaking of 80% of the population "balance" and had heard this number was used a lot in the rhetoric around the formation of israel, I was hoping to see a bit more on that as I've been having trouble re- finding it myself

Same here, living amongst German Germans. I came to the observation that shockingly more Germans than I expected are pro-colonialism or pro-neocolonialism for their benefit. It’s all about their own well-being even at the expense of others while also wanting to feel good/noble about themselves. Gluttony, greed, ego/narcissism… never thought Germans were so weak with their dark human urges.
