Amazing, just amazing. This show you how shallow some journalists are (and even us fans) when judging a car. Clearly both are superb machines, if you only looked at the results you'd miss the fact that the NISMO being heavier has a disadvantage when breaking, but shoots out of the corner with the AWD. The AMG stops on a dime, will beat any car to an apex, it is the last of the late brakers, and has unmatched agility in tight corners, but its potential is harder to unlock and requires more effort to keep the car from sliding on corner exit. What a fantastic matchup, you'd never think the NISMO could put up this good of a fight simply by how old the platform is. Brilliant as usual

The fact that the GT-R is based on a 2007 platform , shows how good the original machine was. It still keeps up with modern Sport Cars but back in the day , it completly killed the competition. McLaren and Ferrari used the original GTR R35 as a benchmark when they made the MP4-12C and the 458. The Porsche 911 was the original target used by Nissan when developing the R35 , needless to say , the former got absolutely trashed by the Nissan.

This was such an epic video! AMG GTR has proven to be extremely impressive in other tests as well. I think in real world conditions it's just really hard to actually beat the Nismo GTR. I could be bias as a GTR owner, but glad to see it get the touge win! And that 59 sec Tsukuba!!!

Really depends on the type of circuit you're racing on. 4WD has a great load of advantages on short and aggressive corners demonstrated in this touge style race. On long sweeping turns of a circuit racetrack, 4WD becomes redundant.

これは神回と思えるような好勝負ですね！AMG GTと日産GT-Rは試乗したことがあるけど、どちらも素晴らしく速い車でした。AMG GTは非常に重心が低くワイドでコーナーが速く、日産GT-Rは四駆による抜群のトラクションで立ち上がりが速いです。日産GT-Rはシャシーとエンジンはこのままでも軽量で空気抵抗の少ないボディを載せれば、AMG GTより確実に速くなると思います。
