@@FelisImpurrator I really want to do a smithscript build soon. I haven't found one of the weapons that I LOVE yet.

@@norzza Dual wield smithscript daggers aren't super strong DPS, but they're incredibly fun and build up status real fast. Especially with the fan throw, probably, since it's stronger than piercing and multihits. Treat them like a weird way to get quick multihits at Pike range rather than a true ranged weapon and you've got a nice way to roleplay a ninja. Also they literally just gain 100% uptime on the smithing talisman, so enjoy your easy Lord of Blood+Smithing Talisman nonsense stacking... By just mashing the light attack and throwing six daggers in three inputs. Speaking of, nightclaws slap. They have the super guard penetration of the katana AND the fan shot. Crazy fun. Shield is probably funny for Captain America nonsense, hammer is funny to just YEET and has the longest range afaik. Cirque has this issue of hitting the floor or walls at random, but the tricky angle makes it great for hitting things that have dodge AI or shields sometimes (and it being a backhand blade means innate dual wield and an amazing moveset). Spear is apparently buggy and tends to whiff so maybe not that. Messmer spear though, oh boy, that's basically like throwing a golem arrow that's on fire. Absolutely worth and yeah it's literally a smithscript weapon, it says so in the lore last I checked. Axe I know next to nothing about because the deathknight axes are the only ones I played with.

The two handed talisman only work with R1 basic attacks, not with Ashe of war.

Depends on your build. It has its uses in the same way the Claw Talisman does.

You can also farm starlight shards now in the cerulean coast. Not sure if that’s a new thing but I never found a way to farm them in lands between

On the Fire Giants, you can Stagger them with (3) held heavy attacks from a Twin Blade. I absolutely wrecked these guys.

Wait so does the two handed talisman work on any weapon as long as you are using both hands for it? Ex: the beast claws will buff from it while you dual weild it?

Rellana's Cameo is only worth it if you're doubling down with the Alexander shard. I think it might actually be multiplicative though? More importantly, however, that's two seconds total to activate and it keeps going after. So if you can get another combo off it stays up. Edit: I heard the Crusade was 15% though. Huge if true.

@@b1ddyb563 32% last I heard, which isn't much more... but you can poise break decently with either flavor of Night and Flame, at least, and those stances stay active as long as they're held so you can just keep using the damage bonuses as long as the enemy isn't busy poise breaking you.

@@FelisImpurrator I hope they lower the Rellana's Cameo wait time to like 1.5 seconds I feel like it's JUST a tiny bit too long. Also appreciate the Ancient Meteoric Ore Greatsword recommendation, got some stuff coming with that ;)

@@norzza Agreed. Or raise it to 20% for all the effort. I think 20% for 1.5 would be perfectly fine, considering how piss easy it is to proc an exultation nowadays. Speaking of exultations. Have you tried the insanity that is Antspur Rapier being allowed to take Poison Flower Blooms Twice and be infused with whatever? It's ridiculous. Giving that monstrosity a superpowered Poison Moth Flight that ALSO builds up hundreds of points of scarlet rot on contact, jumps over low attacks, is spammable... What even? Poison infusion for more detonations per minute, blood infusion for double exults if you want to proc kindred and lord at the same time (lmao how is this allowed), cold if you want the raw damage of the nuke to brutalize things with the defense debuff. I don't know how they let this and the Scadutree thorn wave exist. I really have no idea. It's probably the funniest sleeper hit in the entire DLC because of how unexpected it is that some dinky little Poison Moth Flight variant can just chunk things without abusing overlapping hitboxes. If you're rocking Scarlet Aeonia or something to delete Radahn with, this is the perfect icing for the crap cake you're serving him... Again, like the last two times he died.

Sort of. Past a certain point it frankly doesn't matter. Softcaps are all that really make a difference for anything other than oneshot thresholds, or max carry weight memes like light rolling in heavy armor or something. 60 vigor for SotE (40 for basegame but the endgame shadow land is insane), anything more is a drop in the bucket and basically a flex. Mind can honestly be managed at 30 even on a spellblade, no need for the 55 and 60 softcaps unless you're going full dragon communion or something. Endurance softcaps at 50 for stamina (you ain't getting even one extra roll without going full 99 past that) and 60 for equip load, and then anything past 60 is just for that one extra pound of colossal sword if you're minmaxing roll thresholds. Then your damage stats really are not that crazy past getting one primary stat to 80 for damage. Extra stats at 80 are just kind of overkill. They don't make the game THAT much easier unless you're using very specific weapons like, say, Prince staff or Golden Order seal or Night and Flame that scale off everything at once. Otherwise, it is literally just like having the ability to switch to a different build instantly without a larval tear. Except for casters, where 70 dex is the cap to remove startup animations entirely. Otherwise casting needs 40 dex+Radagon Icon, Radagon Icon+offhand Azur staff, or the Beloved Stardust and fat damage reduction to offset its monstrous 30% penalty. So... Kinda. Yes and no. The first halves of the base game and the DLC will never, ever threaten you again. But level cap won't save you from having to get at least a little gud in the Haligtree or Enir-Ilim.

@@FelisImpurrator The only stat where going to 99 is somewhat useful is strength and two-handing the weapon, since every point counts as 1.5. On the other hand, strength and two-handing is also where I recommend stopping long before getting to 80, as you reach the softcap at 54. That leaves room for stuff like faith and intelligence.
