@@zenithchan1646 Yeah, now they're back to normal. Now is a good time to build. Now the dilemma is that the 4000 series of GPUs is just around the corner, so you might want to consider waiting for them. Then again, they might raise prices like the 3000 series did back in the day.

personally i would definitely go with the previous generation samsung 970 pro because even though it is marginally slower than the 980 it has a dram cache which personally i think it absolutely necessary at $1000. I would also have gone with a 1080 ti due to it being noticeably faster than the 6600 while, in my country being about £50-100 cheaper

Prices have gone down since this. I was just able to build a $1200 PC that includes a 3070, the only thing I did was I bought my case used.

It's worth noting for inexperienced builders: these build instructions are not generic they are specific to this case and motherboard setup. If you buy different motherboards or cases things might not line up exactly as shown here.

My case doesn’t have a power slot for the Sata Connection is it bad if I don’t connect it? The control panel that you have on the back just isn’t there

How does this stack up to the m1 mac mini 16 gb? OR even the m2 that comes out in June? I'm in the market for a computer, and I'm agnostic towards Operating systems. Both are in the same price range. The mini wins for size and noise. Loses for storage. Wins for ease of getting.

One question I have is that this is the first time I would ever be attempting to build a pc and I want to know if there’s a part that you don’t like or wanted a better brand or version like a core i7-12700 instead of the i5-12400 would it be installed the same way/be compatible with all the same parts that he’s using here

I mean, If you would extend your budget might as well get the i7, but this build is for 1000$ Budget, So either way would be good. Just don't go cheap on power supply

I7, 12700 will “work” with any lga 1700 socket motherboard. Although you’ll definitely want a x-690 board as it will be better for a high end cpu. Although. I would consider not getting that cpu unless you have a really high budget. I’d make sure you get a solid gpu, for an i7 12700k, you’re gonna want at least a 3070/6800 or higher.

there are a lot of other cases that are better and cheaper, just search gaming pc cases. there is a lot of them

I just built my first PC for 1100 with everything including keyboard and monitor. RTX 3070, i5 10600k with kraken z63 cooler, 16gb rgb ram, rosewill case with 4 rgb fans, EVGA 750w 80+ gold psu, 250 gb ssd 1tb sata ssd, EVGA z15 rgb keyboard, msi optix g273q 1440 165hz monitor

I did your build and double checked all connections. The PC flashes on for a sec like it wants to start but wont run. If I hold down the power button to clear it then turn off the power supply then turn it back on again everything tries to run for a sec then it's nothing. Do you know what's wrong?

No built in wifi. For future reference, if a motherboard has wifi built in, you will know because it will say wifi in the name. You can always buy a USB wifi adapter so you don't necessarily need a motherboard with built in wifi.

Kinda off focus of the build but would this combo of parts be adequate for 3d modeling and ray trace rendering without any incompatibility issues IYO : CPU-Intel Core i5 Core 12400F COOLER-ARCTIC Freezer 34 Esports Duo MOTHERBOARD -ASUS Prime B660-PLUS D4 LGA 1700 RAM -TEAMGROUP T-Force Vulcan Z DDR4 32GB Kit STORAGE -Kingston NV1 500G M.2 2280 NVMe CASE -NZXT H510 Flow PSU -EVGA 850 Bq, 80+ Bronze 850W GPU -ASUS ROG Strix NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 V2 OC 12GB Current pricing through Amazon puts this config at less than$1500 actually at $1207.92 without trying any cost saving substitutions.

Rather than the 6600 I went with an RTX 3050 because 1 it was cheaper, and 2 it's raw performance is slightly worse (I think) but you also get DLSS with the GPU

This really depends on which 3050(price point) you're buying. If upper range 3050 then you might as well go with the 6600 on the cheaper side. $400 3050 vs $450 6600.

How to know if you picking the right shape of intel core for your motherboard, without opening the box?

The Intel CPUs are all pretty the same size, so you don't necessarily need to worry about it. As long as the motherboard you choose supports the CPU you want to use, you're good to go. Look at t he CPU model name and check the board's list of supported CPUs. You can also use the pc part picker site to see if your parts are compatible. I suggest you learn about CPU sockets.

After clicking all the links, I rounded up all the parts and case to approximately $1300 after applied taxes since some of the parts are sold out, you have to pick other ones. Big sad. Wish hardware wasn’t so expensive right now :( just gonna wait on mine.
