One of the BIG reasons I use ESV B ionic is that it is more concentrated than the BRS so I was using half of what I was with the BRS so isn’t really any more expensive to use. With My heavy bioload, if I had to continue with the BRS brand, I would have just gone to a calcium reactor. I also get NO precipitation with ESV. The ESV also adds magnesium so no need to dose that, just touch up once a month so there’s that savings. Then, yes, You have all the trace elements and I mean ALL. that is being dosed with it. I haven’t done a water change on my 56 mixed reef in over 5 Years, sent in My first ICP to Triton in April, and EVERYTHING (except the quick consumables taken up from macro algae like iodine, Iron, and Potassium, molybdenum) was spot on! Incredible!

I want a BRS proprietary "reduce water changes solution". A BRS method that includes trace elements with a water change every 2 or 3 months based on the experience you guys had with Triton. Not trying to eliminate WC completely, but reduce them drastically at BRS pricing. That's the dream.

Brs 2 part vs b ionic???
@billydanzz
@billydanzz 5 жыл бұрын
BRS...you guys are still putting out bad information regarding the use of the Tropic Marin Part C to dose trace elements. Lou from Tropic Marin has stated a distinction between "adding" versus "supplementing, which he stated that the Part C alone doesn't "supplement" the trace elements. Here's his explanation...which doesn't sound like you can use the Part C for the purpose described in your video... Lou - "This is a subject that causes lots of confusion. So it doesn't surprise me that this came up yet again...The True Balling Part C contains Mg and ALL trace elements found in natural sea water, about 70 of them. When you add the Part C, along with the Balling A and B, you are using it to ionically balance the sodium chloride (NaCl) that is the byproduct of the Parts A and B addition. So technically, you are "adding" Mg and trace elements to the system. However, ALL of the Part C that gets added in this way, ends up being diluted when the excess salinity, created by this NaCl and Part C addition, is brought back down with water changes and make up water. So "functionally" your addition of that Mg and trace elements does NOT make up for "consumed" Mg and trace elements. It is only used to ionically balance the NaCl into complete natural sea water components. So you are "adding" them, but not "supplementing" them. That is why you still will need to add supplementary Mg and traces, even when using the true Balling Method. Here is a link to a KZfaq video we did to try to explain this in detail: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mMCparWEndGpkZs.html

How many milliliters per (100 gallons) should you does the All-for-reef on a predominantly SPS tank?
@9StickNate
@9StickNate 5 жыл бұрын
The directions state 5mL per 100L. So, 18.95mL as a starting dose. Then you add an additional 2.5mL per 100L (9.4 mL/100 gallons) each week until you get to your desired level. I may be incorrect.
@BRStv
@BRStv 5 жыл бұрын
Every tank will be a bit different, but for reference, we have a 60 gallon cube here at the office that I'd consider to be SPS dominant running the All For Reef. Zack is dosing about 50ml per day to that tank. Given that there is probably closer to 50 gallons of actual water volume once you take the rock displacement and sump volume into account, that's right around the max suggested dose of 25ml per 26 gallons. For a similarly stocked 100 gallon system, that would equate to roughly 100ml per day.

@@benibarra9733 No...you CANNOT add the Component C to anything else. As BRS stated, you mix it in it's own container and dose it from that container.

So I'm using the BRS 2 part and just received my Tropic Mari balling part C. My calcium and alkaline demands are not the same, so short of being able to test for these trace elements how do I dose part C along with the BRS 2-part ?
@BRStv
@BRStv 4 жыл бұрын
Best practice would be to dose based on your alkalinity consumption. Mix 7.5 of the included scoops of Part C per 1 gallon of RODI water and dose 1:1 with alkalinity.
@miguelwall2128
@miguelwall2128 4 жыл бұрын
@@BRStv ouch, so the Part C box says to use 4 scoops per U.S. Gallon. I've already mixed 4 scoops in a gallon of RODI and placed 1.5L into my SKIMZ dosing reservoir. Short of having to pump it out which will be a chore, how do I deal with this? Still dose 1:1 with alkalinity until I mix another batch, maybe increase dosage, or something else?

Bulk Reef Supply I think you’ll find that us international customers are used to expensive shipping fees. We’ll happily eat the cost if it means we don’t have to deal with a packaging forwarding service (which just adds an extra layer of complication and another point of potential failure in the whole shipping process). If I could have my packages shipped directly from you I’d be using your services a lot more than I currently do.
