Geranium wallachianum variety Rozanne is great and flowering for 5 months.

It does flower a long time, but it starts about mid summer for me. What I don't like about it is that it is a bit straggly. I now have it growing over Geranium magnificum, which holds it up.

Great list of plants :) I have toad lilies that keep growing and multiplying like crazy! The same with Ligularia Othello, especially if it re-seeds itself and I made the mistake of letting it ;)

One bad things about ground geranium is they speard everywhere. They are also seed spreaders. If you have the space its not so bad.

Sadly, I find that penstemon 'Husker Red' self-seeds everywhere, as does 'Dark Towers'.

@@jeil5676 I'm in Chicago 5b, so that 's a perfect match. Lucky me. I like to watch Zone 5b. Do you have other youtube shows to recommend. I just hired a Landscaper designer who moved from 6a. I'd like to give a list of plants. Zone 6 has a better selection that 5b.

I think it is in the part shade section of the video. They actually like a fair amount of light, but need water as well.

Kim Herdman I've always wanted to plant ligularia but not aware that I've seen a lot in a yard. My neighborhood like HOSTA. Could you please post a picture of yours and say more about them?
