I get asked about my sliders all the time. There are TONS of sliders on the market for the 5th Gen 4Runner, but these are my personal favorite.
Slee makes some of the highest quality off-road equipment for your Toyota Land Cruiser and 4Runner you can find. I worked with Christos (I think he's the owner) who was fantastic in helping me out. The quality has been outstanding, they have been very durable and they still look spectacular as well!

I just installed the OPOR sliders on the our 4RUNNER and I love them. I really considered Slee but the price swayed me. I also saw that post you talked about where they guy was knocking Slee sliders. I’ve had 2 Landcruisers before the 4RUNNER and I can assure anyone Slee makes great stuff. That guy could not have had any experience with Slee to be negative about them. I just picked up Slee’s ARB compressor mount for under the hood. Fits perfect. Keep up the great videos Jason!

That’s so awesome you got a 200 series! I’m 17 and I drive a 100 series with 226k miles, and I’m in the process of building it! I have an OME lift, BFG 275s, Metaltech sliders, and my Slee rear bumper just came in the mail this week. I’m super interested to see what you do with the 200! Love the content too, keep it up! I swear you’re the only Toyota guy bringing great quality content.

Thanks for the in-depth review Jason. I'm building out a 2018 Trail with KDSS and sliders will be one of my first additions. It's my 73yo Mom's truck and she wants to be able to get in and out with ease with a lift and she shuttles Grandkids around in her truck too. Preserving step functionality is a must. I particularly appreicate the up close and underneath shots as that is the best view of them I have ever seen. Thanks!!

TheStig ZeroZeroZero Same thought here. Just light duty off road stuff here but there's no need for weak kneed tube steps that'll bend or cause more damage, plus side steps would be nice.

As several others have said, laser eye surgery is great. But before I had it done, I wore "extended wear" contacts that you put in at the beginning of the month and take out at the end--you sleep in them which means you don't have to mess with them while camping. The brand I used was PureVision, but I think there are others.

Hi Jason, Again a great video! My concern with the "step" like sliders is that if someone steps on them with mud, dirt or grit on their toes that it will scratch the exposed piece of body above the step. I experienced this with a van that I would stand on the rear bumper to remove things from the luggage rack and scratched the hell out of it! Your thoughts?

Perhaps consider extended wear contacts for overlanding. Many are good for two weeks of constant wear, and a few are good for up to 30 days of constant wear.

Try air optic contacts. You can leave them in for 30 days. FDA FFA what ever approved. They rock. I’ve used them for over a year. Just take them out every 30 days and use a new pair. I will let my eyes rest for a day then put in a new pair

Nice video. 2 questions. Are you replacing the 4runner with a land cruiser? These sliders are bolt on? You didn't have to do any welding when you installed them, right? For what its worth, I agree with you, they're good looking in my opinion. But they are pricy.

@swellrunner Now I know why you didn’t do an install video of the Slee sliders... I just recently (last Friday) installed mine and MAN what’s it difficult. 16TEP kdss getting the bolts in between the kdss lines was impossible. I had to trim he bolt down to make it fit. And the nutserts / Rivets were a pain and the tool I had jammed on the 1st one lol. But that being said they are on and great. My wife and daughter love them who like you also use my rig.

I like the C4Fab sliders better, but I may be a little biased. "The finish has held up really well on them." That happens when you don't actually "slide" on them. Haha. I do enjoy your videos though. It has been interesting watching you learn stuff.

I was for a bit but its so quick now and routine. I think if you really go to the to-go clinic in your state for it, itll be fine. I knew several people who've done it with nothing but good things to say. Im over losing contacts or smashing glasses at $3-400 a pop. ugh.

There are pros & cons. When it first came out I was hesistant as Opthamology colleagues gave me the full, non-marketing story. Risks were low but the result of bad outcomes could be pretty devastating (Low Risk / High Consequence setting). Times have changed and the risks are much less now and I'm reconsidering myself. Definitely make sure you go to someone who has been around for a while and has a long track record. With your broken finger you mentioned you had a physician friend, it might be worth getting their recommendation as they may be able to probe local back channels a little for you.

Yo Jason how it going? I do like you your channel, the content, the video editing, (which by the way looks like it was made from Lionsgate, or Orion, or Warner bros.) Meaning that it's done very professional. You take the time to edit which your "movies" and it definitely shows. This isn't a hate comment obviously but c'mon, it's not realistic to the average guy who likes to camp vie offloading. It should be ritled,"yuppie off roading", or "you need tons of money to even think about doing these things that are in my video'. You, and other people alike who have $38,00- 40,000+ dollar rigs then all the tens of thousands of dollars you spend on mods! That's crazy! I would love to be able to do that, trust me. But maybe target a more realistic group of people. And again, I really do like your videos. It's just guys like me whow watch your videos; but we're are completely in fantasy land thinking while doing so. Sorry for such a long responses, this was my first one. I agree with this 100%. What do these people do for a living ?🤔 I just got my runner and they’ve had theirs and their hundreds of thousand of dollars of equipment 🤔 I follow another KZfaqr that outlands in his four runner: $7000 camera and lens set up , not counting the drone and rig set up. It’s honestly just a take notes and start somewhere kinda thing. That’s what I get from it. I’m brand new to these types of videos and it’s very unrealistic unless you’re “experienced “.

I agree, these sliders are beautiful, however when you got underneath and showed how they attached, you lost me. The purpose of sliders is to protect the body and primarily the rockers. I see no protection provided to that area. Any quality slider will have a tube running the length of the rocker, preventing impact. Am I missing something?
