︾ Hey Riders,
Welcome to another video in our Adventure Motorcycle Review Series. Today we are taking a look at 4 different bikes we feel would be perfect for an end of world scenario with an ultimate choice in the end of the video. Of course we will also have some honorable mentions because there never is a end all decision but we at least line up the best criteria that would make each of these bikes optimal to have in the garage during the apocalypse. Keep watching to find out which motorcycle out of the 4 we choose to be the ultimate armageddon motorcycle.

TW200 Anyone can ride it, exp or not. no batt needed (mod with a kick start, or buy 2001 or earlier),will climb a rope, sippin on the fuel ,reliable like granite. Slow is the only issue. Fun video, a hot topic for sure. I own 2 TWs, the zombie factor was on the pro side of the decision process.

@@saptarshisutradhar9379, thanks for the note. The CB isn't necessarily twice as good as the Himalayan, but I can tell you that we no longer offer the Himalayan in Colombia, because of reliability issues with them. Tried for about 3 years, but sold them all recently after enough issues. ---- That's too bad if the CB is so expensive in India, but is the Used bike market better for them? If so, plan on that being a good, long-running, reliable bike that could do well over 100,000 km's with few issues. Remember: there's always a good deal to be found, and the only thing more fun than riding a motorcycle is shopping for one :)

@@RIDEAdventures Thanks for replying..& reading my long ass massages..please bear with me The thing is here in India we love Hondas,Yamaha's,Suzuki's,Kawa's for their reliability aspect but currently they are not offering entry-level do it all motorcycles & specially offroad biased bikes, thats is one of the reason, secondly we do have a special corner for Royal enfield's,the brand known to have a huge cult following here in India & when they launched the Himalayan few years back it kinda checked all the boxes for us except one & unfortunatly that is the reliability aspect of the bike..cracked chasis, broken engine head to choked out carburetor at high altitudes, poor welding(which still exists)& what not...& now back to the topic..cb500x is relatively new & i don't think its gonna be easy to find one..but even if i somehow manage to get one most likely its gonna be priced higher than what one should expect..you could probably buy a brand new Ktm Adv 390 with that price bracket..now the situation is Royal enfield is probably gonna take their existing Himalayan off the shelf very soon beacuse the new Himalayan 450 is already spotted on our Indian roads with Usd forks, liquid cooling, led lights, bigger tank & few other things as well & we heard a 450 dakar edition is on the way with almost 50bhp on the crank & will flaunt auxiliary fuel tanks as well..so i think now the only two option i got is to work harder & save money even harder to buy the 500x or gonna wait for the 450 which is going to priced lower than the 500x..what you say???

@@saptarshisutradhar9379 always tough to wait and see if these bikes really come out, and then, how. much they'll be selling for. I wonder if there's a FB group or similar for Honda riders there in India, and if that group conducted surveys and such, if the results would be enough to make Honda realize the opportunity they're missing by not importing the CB500X. Such a great bike, I hope you get one!

I agree with your choice here but not an easy choice from what's in my garage, i.e. 2013 Puzey Jet 125 scooter (good for carrying things but not ideal off-road or over long distances) Yamaha XTZ125 (kick-start, very basic, economical, very light-weight & reliable, ideal for rough terrain, but not ideal for long distances) Honda XR150 (has a kick-start, very economical, can do 85km/h all day, light & quite capable off-road) 2010 Zongshen ZSM200 (similar pros & cons to the above Yamaha XTZ125 but heavier) '97 Honda XL400V TransAlp (carbs, reliable, comfy on longer rides, rather heavy @ 182KG dry & uses twice as much fuel as the XR150!) 2010 BMW F 800GS (much faster than any of the above mentioned bikes, eats up long distances in style, fairly economical if ridden sedately but too high-tech for an apocalypse. It could however bring in some much required cash for basic survival necessities when sold) So, I'd have to go with my li'll XR150 which has already paid for itself with the beginner bike lessons that I offer. It is my main everyday commuter, weekend (closer venue) adventure bike, as well as my son's, go-to transport when he has no money for fuel for his car. BTW, without going into detail re the original condition of my above mentioned bikes, which are either used for bike lessons or paid for, mini adventure rides - the total amount I paid for all of them, is less than the price of a new Honda 125 Monkey bike, here in South Africa!
