What's even more remarkable about this restaurant is that it is located in a "training" hotel! I went there for Xmas dinner and I found out that the hotel that this restaurant is located in is almost completely run by students of the nearby polytechnic university who want to enter the hotel and hospitality industries!

I loved finally seeing the spice get to you by making your eyes red. I laughed so hard at the durian part, lol. If I win the lottery, I'm definitely going on a food tour with your videos as a guide.

I have been following your video and I had tried some of the places you mentioned. I was in Milwaukee last week, and drove 60 miles to Sun Wah Bar-B-Q in Chicago. I bought a roast duck and 2 lbs. of ribs to go back to my hotel. I ate about a quarter of the duck and threw the rest away because it was too salty. They gave me two packs of salty sauce, but it didn't come with the plum sauce. I ate many ducks in my life and it was the worst I have ever eaten. I liked my duck with smokey skin and sweet. The ribs was unusual because it was baby back. I hated baby back because I loved St. Louis style, it had more tasty fat and rib ends. I barely finished it. I guessed I am more picky than you are. You seemed to like every thing. My new job is sending me to China next week and I will fly to Hong Kong on the way there. It will be exciting for me because I left China in 1954 and left Hong Kong in 1964. Things had changed dramatic since then. I will find my favorite food there ; roast goose, dim sum, and wan ton soup. I had taken note from your video and will find those places. I will avoid all sweet because I am lactose intolarance and Chinese put condensed milk in all pastries.

Buffet in Hong Kong is very high quality. Compare to the US.

Many cultures eat chicken feet. Also that dish with the beef tongue and jelly, is like something we call sous cheese here in the south. But it's made with pig instead.

Here’s the pro tip to stomach the most in buffet. 1) In this order; start with pure meat, sashimi, seafood, cured meat, red and white meat. 2) meat mixed with carbs; 3) noodle/rice with meat, meat pastry. 4) Carbs/fibre; bread, veg, salad, sushi. 5) Liquid; soup. 6) Sugar; desserts. Eat as much as you like at each stage but the most critical is step 1; if stuff in all the meat u can, the rest just falls in place nicely. At any point, order hot green/chamomile tea or just any plain tea to help digestion.

I shared your video & my friend in Hong Kong says of all the buffets he's been to in HK, this is by far the best. The reason why it's so good is because the restaurant is also a training program for aspiring chefs. There are top chefs training students who are giving their best into the food they're preparing.😊👍🏼

Dude, it's always fun to watch how you unabashedly inhale all your food. Btw, couple things about the Singaporean/Malaysian food: 1. The spicy noodle dish is laksa, not laska. Lots of regional differences, some are thick and creamy from coconut milk, some are sour and punchy like thai food... Some are even light, refreshing and vaguely nutty. 2. Pandan is not a Chinese word, apparently Wiki says it's called 香兰 in Chinese. Over here, the most popular use (besides cake) is kaya - sweet coconut egg castard jam. That stuff is epic on hot toast.

My family (pacific islander) has always eaten the deep fried prawns shell and all. It adds a nice texture and isnt hard to chew/digest at all! Basically more of what you already get in the head and legs

the beef tongue jelly is actually a very popular southern dish here in America, we call it head cheese. Head cheese sometimes uses heart though, but is usually made with just the tongue.

The jellied beef is what we call head cheese! You can find it! But you have to know a really good deli! It's easy to find in the north Wisconsin Michigan, where a lot of northern Europeans settled! Poles Germans swedes!

I never understood why people were grossed out by beef tongue. In the miid-20th century, beef tongue was cheap to purchase and, in my culture, preparing it was something every young girl learned in anticipation of marrying and having a very tight food budget with which to work. The tongue was rinsed and placed in a stock pot (the only cooking pot that would hold it) along with stock, onions, carrot, celery, salt, pepper, and parsley. It was boiled and, when taken out of the pot, allowed to cool and the outer layer cut away, leaving the tender meat within. That was sliced moderately thin and then served with a mixture of sour cream and horseradish mixed with a very small amount of lemon and a bit of dill. If you did not know that it was beef tongue, you would never guess it was.

I ate here a few days ago. Great buffet with really good food. I would love to eat here again. The noodle soup was really good. The dessert was excellent as well although I could not endure the durian desserts. Sadly I did not see any egg's benedict. Overall it was a good experience. Afterwards I was so full.

I loved durian. I can eat that everyday, and bit expensive here in the states so buy it once or twice a year as a treat. That buffet restaurant is awesome, that's my to go list if I ever go to Hong Kong.
