one of my best investments that i made at quite a young age, i was 15, are the longchamp le pliage bags. they were so on trend where i live when i was at that age and i got two and they still look like brand new and i used both almost daily and still use them. the leather on them is still so soft. i'm so impressed with them. even though the prices of them have gone up quite bit ever since i really want to get a black one. the quality is just great.

You can give new life to leather bags by washing them with a gentle cloth in castile soap (don't soak them!) and then rubbing them in coconut oil. It gets rid of scratches and discoloration pretty well. I once found a Coach bag at a thrift shop for $12 USD and brought it back to life that way!

I haven't made any crazy luxury purchases yet, but splurging on a good quality $100-$200 leather (or pleather) handbag is definitely a great investment. I bought the Glasgow bag from Madewell last year and it's incredible. I don't know what would be my first luxury purchase, maybe a really great pair of shoes.

I've only ever bought one designer bag, my Michael Kors Selma. I've had it for two years and it's still in great condition :)

I realllyyyyyyy love this video! For me, I am really sad that my Givenchy Antigona was a bit scratched at the bottom, I think it is because they don't particularly have the "feet" at the bottom to hold the bag against whatever it is I put them (I barely put them on the floor). I think prada bags lasts longer. At least in my case.

Ive worked in designer handbags for years and buying a suede brush will change your life with those bags/shoes! Go to somewhere like jones bootmaker, I think their brushes are like £3 and then buy a can of suede protector. Use one side of the brush to buff out marks/balding and then use the less dense side to brush all the suede one way. Spray, let dry then brush they other way. Helps to protect the material and if you do get any spill ages makes it easier to brush off. You can also use it on leather bags/shoes too which might help with the marking in future! Hope that helps!

Great video. I'm very happy with my Louis Vuitton bags and would love some of their sunglasses but am worried I'd lose them. Seriously love your le boy bag and special to have bought it in Paris. My high end handbags are the MUCH better investment for me than shoes. I only have one luxury brand of shoes that I've gotten a lot of wear out of, the other two pairs are SO painful to wear for a whole day/event that I look for other pairs to replace them :(

Best my Birkin and Kelly bags, love them and laugh because most people think they are fake. Don't care. They wear so beautifully. I also love my BeDior bags because of the various colors and handle and strap! Worst purchase a lovely designer dress I only wore ONCE. So sad. Very Sex in the City with an ostrich skirt and navy silk dress over it but once? Oh and gorgeous Nicholas Kirkwood boots I've only worn once! What a shame. Thanks for the vid !

About the Sopie Hulme, the leather is a veg tanned which means the skin is processed using natural materials as apposed to synthetic which most of the other products would have been. This is the traditional method however its mainly seen in saddlery today. It is in no way a cheaper leather, but because of the way its tanned it does mark a lot easier, as for the discoloration a handbag restoration place should be able to fix it, I would also recommend spraying it with a good water and dirt repellent. As for the suede Balmain boots a suede brush will get the marks out.

I sometimes work on self portrait at work and you can take the dresses up depending on the material, it's always best to get a tailors opinion when your in the store but it can be done :) x

Aquatalia boots are my jam. They wear incredibly - even the waterproof suede - and my first pair lasted for ten years before I retired them!

I bought Versace sunglasses six years ago and still wear them. To be fair I live in Scotland so it's not exactly always sunny, therefore I don't use them everyday. I bought them in TK Maxx (not afraid to admit it) so they weren't as expensive. They do have UV protection etc, I checked the ticket prior to purchase. Still love them and still wear them, so they for me were a good buy. I have a Valentino bag also from TK Maxx which I have had for eight years. I still use it but it is starting to show signs of wear. I think I got my moneys worth on that also

I haven't taken the plunge on Acne Jensen boots but you should check out the Marc Fisher Yale bootie. Have the same look and feel as the Jensen's but aren't quite as pricey! I got those in lieu of the Acne boots since I can't splurge just yet!

Great video :) My worst luxury purchases; the Mulberry Roxanne bag; I had to hunt for it online because the model is discontinued. It's gorgeous but the the leather is so thick and heavy that putting just a few essentials in it makes it an exercise to carry. It's just sitting in my closet now :( The other sad investment is a LV bracelet that I can never wear on my own because the clasp is so difficult to maneuver with one hand. My best luxury investment is the LV Speedy B bag, it goes well with everything, wear is great and it truly stood the test of time.

My best designer purchase so far has to be my Balenciaga mini city. I just think the leather on any of the Balenciaga bags is just amazing and stands the test of time. My worst is probably my Mulberry Bayswater in Blush Pink, not because it isn't beautiful- but because I'm scared to death to get it wet!
