I used to have a cat that played fetch like that, he liked balled up magazine pages because of the crunching sound they made. If I didn't throw it soon enough he would pick it up between his front paws and hold it up so I could see it. Miss you Zoomer

The younger of my parents' cats will do that. Felt mice, paper balls, throwable toys with ribbons. I throw them the length of the hallway, or she bats them down the stairs to me at the bottom to toss back up.

My Sooty used to love playing fetch too. Her favourite was I'd have to throw a toy up the stairs and she'd race after it and bring it back down. My other cat Scruffy used to just look totally disgusted with her behaviour 😂. Miss them both.

Thumbnail "I wipe my a$$": Tippy 🐶 recently learned this. He had diarrhea and I was going to use a pet wipe, he sat down and scooted across the grass, got up and looked at me so proud for wiping his own butt.

That last one reminded me of my cat Smokey. He once caught a vole, but my mom didn’t see it until she let him inside. And it turned out the vole wasn’t quite dead. It ran through our kitchen like mad until we finally caught it in a waste basket. I could feel it scratching on the basket while my mom searched for something to slide underneath! We set the vole free outside after all the cats were in. Meanwhile, Smokey was watching all of this like, “Well I don’t see what all the fuss is. 😕”

Same thing happened to me and my cat when she jumped inside my bedroom through the window with a mouse in her mouth. Then she proceeded to chase after it once it was lose from her grasp. Eventually we were able to lead her back outside with it 😂

Many years ago, I had a cat called Cassius, who would fight or catch anything. He brought in a live rabbit once, which hopped around the living room and hid behind a book case, and another time, he brought home a live magpie, which proceeded to fly madly around the house. I live in a barn conversion with an 18 foot high peak to the ceiling, so that was fun. Mice/rodents are the worst though - they can do an enormous amount of damage in a very short time if left uncaught.

The reason's not so funny though. It needs to be de-wormed. If you ever see a dog doing the "drag ass over carpet" move, it has worms or needs to have its anal glands extruded, which some breeds clog all the time..
