Just picked up a pair of Unaffected x Asics Gel Kayano 14 from the "Infinite Wonders" collection in the Dark Shadow/Pure Silver colour way! Here are my thoughts :)

This video made me buy these shoes, wearing them as I'm typing this comment up haha. Looks great and comfort is fantastic, however - After 8mos of wear - i can say the sockliner is FAR from premium. While the silky smooth texture is nice to feel/touch, the threads used are far too soft and cannot take a beating. Ankle area is completely mangled, exposing the inner padding. My jordan 4 beaters (5 years old) have only a fraction of the ankle damage seen on these. Would have much preferred any other material.

it's a really good colorway, i was heavily considering...ended up getting rep gel 1090 andersson bells instead for now. another really good drop upcoming is the jfg 990v4, another super wearable colorway.

Definetly sneaker of the year! I bought green and black pair but i must say mesh on the heal is more durable on the general release pairs for sure… i got vomero5’s antrachite and bone colors they have same mesh as unaffected colabs and they are not durable like vomero5 green color made in 2019 which has same heel like gr asics

Yeah they are really underrated! Oh damn didn’t know about that, thanks for sharing :) So far I haven’t had a bad experience with sock liners in general but I can imagine the softer ones being more fragile 😅

Thank you :) That’s their running performance shoe, not so much of a sneaker but of course it can be worn casually as well. I personally use the Kayanos series for running, love them a lot!
