One of the best atmospheres in Welsh regional rugby history during Scarlets 30 - 27 victory over Toulon at Parc Y Scarlets on 20/01/18.
In front of a sold-out 14,500 crowd, the reigning Pro12 champions secured a home semi final in the European Champions Cup in an electric atmosphere in Llanelli.

Yeah l live in England and it brings tears to my eyes every time I watch this! Regional rugby has been a disaster but the Scarlets are kind off out of that as in they're Llanelli just renamed!

Good stuff wales.great to see you back as an international force after the lean period of 1990- 2005 where unfortunately the national team was a joke.world rugby needs a strong wales!much love and respect from Australia and its great to play you guys and for it to not be so one sided as it was during that period.

Kristopher Lewis We need our national team playing like Ireland continuity all the time and players wanting to play, we have to stop thinking were English .

Yes all the best Welsh Union players went to league in that period. Thankfully 2003 saw the start of professional rugby in Wales. Wales did beat Australia in the '87 world cup. Then I watched all the talent lost to league throughout my childhood. From 2005 to present Wales havent lost many players to league. Wales still needs a Wales A team, and a 5th region or allow players playing outside of Wales an opportunity to play for Wales (scrap 60 cap rule). Hopefully then Wales can be a threat to the southern hemisphere.

Im a NZLANDER watching this from the goldcoast in Queensland Australia, and its 12 o'clock midnight im just a big rugby fan well this look like a good game to watch but I have work in 5 hours time so ill catch up with it tomorrow.

As a Welshman I did my dissertation on Rugby and Welsh Nationalism, I disagreed strongly with the assertion that it was man made, purely because I can Feel my Welshness innately coarse through my veins like I’m Sure a Māori feels the Haka, I feel the blood of 10000 years of Welsh warriors spilt to protect out lands…

I think in Ireland, it was 2009 when Leinster beat Munster in Croke Park in front of 82,300. I'm always surprised scarlets don't fill their ground every week as they play great rugby.

Llanelli has never had huge crowds. I was there for this match it was an amazing atmosphere. I travelled 40 miles to this game. I'm a Pontypridd supporter. I will attend more games when allowed!

Fred Morrison Ulster represent essentially an entire country in Northern Ireland as they are the only professional rugby outfit. Llanelli represents a large town where a full capacity stadium would result in almost a quarter of the population of the town being in one stadium. Similarly, When full, the Millenium, now Principality stadium is the third most populous region of Wales. It's all relative, Leinster pull 18,000 regularly, however in a city of over 3 million that represents only a minority. Your point is valid, but a dose of reality never hurt anyone.
