Best video I have seen so far, I love the fact you take them apart to see the amount grease or lack of it on some cases. You also go into a bit more detail like mentioning the beefed up centre shaft which I hadn't seen or read about anywhere

Awesome video dude this is the first one I've seen where someone actually took it off-roading you know most people just make their cardboard jumps and drive it around a room a couple laps and that's all you get.

The body is a 73-79 dentside ford, the grill is 78-79 with round 73-77 headlights, 78-79 had the rectangular headlights with the single grill, 73-77 had round headlights with a 2 piece split grill in a few different styles.

the 1973/77 Fseries came with round headlights. 1978/79's had square headlights.

I can definitely see it as a mud truck with tractor tires from the original. But I can't wrap my head around the portals. Why not upsidedown axles like unimog or Humvees at least. Still a neat little thing

Agreed. The portals were odd. But as you stare at the truck overall it “looks” good.

@@rcdriver I think it was more of a strength deal..with so much carrying over from the crawler, plus the added weight of the tires..the portals give some strength at the hubs, and decrease liad on the motor. Imo..a good decision. Plus, those axles on a 24th scale crawler might work really well as well..lots of options open up with the trans, and axles for 24th scale trail trucks too. If they follow up with different gear ratios for the portals as optional parts..lots can be done. Think y'all will find that the portals give a lot of options as a quick change ratio at the wheels for different surfaces. Packed dirt..shorter eatio..sand, taller ratios, etc. Lots of tuneability there if the gears are available without having to mess with the trans. Be interesting to see some crawler builds with those axles.

Just ordered the blue one! The speed motor is out of stock unfortunately but will definitely be adding that once they are available. You should do a video adding the speed motor and heat sink. Seems to really give it more power!

I don’t like small rc. I prefer 1/8 and larger, but FMS is killing it. They’re probably the best budget RC on the market. They used to make a foam edge540 that was 2M wingspan and it’s only $600. They need to re-release that. If you can’t afford losi, traxxas, aarma, etc, then FMS can keep you in the hobby. When I started RC it was paywalled, if you didn’t have $400, you couldn’t play. Now you can build your own radios for less than $100 and have a whole crew of RC for less than $1000. RC is the best hobby on earth. It keeps me drug free. 12 years clean and sober and I’ve got no intention to break that. Why would I spend $400 at the weed store(it’s legal where I live) when I could buy a tamiya super clod?

its a early 1978 f250 its none split grill and has round headlights .... 73-77 was split grill , 79 was non split but sqaure lights

This is about a purchase from FairRC: Can’t leave a review on FairRC website. Not surprising given recent issues with the company. I’ve purchased over 17 Rochobby/easy RC/ FMS products. Most have been excellent. Purchased 3 of the Fcx24 . At first it was so great. Then one started acting crazy. Then driveshafts popped out. And another won’t go in reverse. Purchased a max smasher. Won’t shift into second or go in reverse. Customer service and quality control has taken a major turn for the worse. After many many emails they sent me a FedEx label for the max smasher. Nothing for the FCX24. Dropped it off at FedEx. FairRC say they didn’t receive and tracking isn’t updating. Took 4 days of asking them if they received to even get a response. FedEx asked why I didn’t come to them earlier and they don’t see it there. So I’m out of luck. And already purchased about $100 in options for it. These are so tempting - but I’m done with this company.

Love this truck. But wait, it's got no back window! All body. Really?! I hope they'd include a window decal. Now I know why it's not a licensed body, it's got no back window. Makes it cheaper for us to purchase but it does nothing for the looks.

✌🏻😎🏴Good for scale driving but needs to be faster. I think there should be new minimum requirements for smaller scale RC’s. They should all be durable, waterproof, all have multiple clear polycarbonate bodies & hard bodies for custom looks & should go at least 30mph. Or is this asking too much?

Ya,it's fun until the next time you use it ,it won't work,so go ahead and run it in water and sand, you can push it after that,plus it needs lots of upgrades,I can buy something better for 99.00 or get a 1/10 for that price,plus all the parts are cheap axles, motor, something funny about the battery , they never talk about it or show you
