Hi. Thank you for testing the Warwick Gnome. It sounds good. Maybe i’ll have a serious look at it. Will a Harley Benton cab 4x10 8 ohm work with it? Is it loud enough to play with a drummer and small gigs? Thanks in advance
@ThePedalGuy2 жыл бұрын
Sure thing. It's definitely loud enough to work in a gig setting. Here's the spec from the Warwick site "Power: 200 W at 4 ohms / 130 W at 8 ohms (Gnome and Gnome-i)" so yes it should work with the HB Cab.

Sounds like a great amp for its price! Have you tried it overdrive pedals? Does it hold up? Thanks. =)

Thanks. Actually I didn’t use it with an OD pedal.

What would be a similar style poweramp for guitar? With all the preamps available nowadays, I could see just using a poweramp head like this with a preamp and pedals. One this size would be best.
@ThePedalGuy2 жыл бұрын
I would look at the Hotone mini amps. Like the Purple Wind or British Invasion.

Does it stream usb audio in? It think it could be useful to send bass tracks from a daw to the bass cab if you don't have an interface with multiple outputs. It could even work as a looper with some software and a midi pedal...

Not really. Seemed pretty clean to me.

Hey friend killer playing. Do you think I could get just a little bit of distortion from this little guy or does it need a pedal for that?
@ThePedalGuy3 жыл бұрын
Thanks. It has a lot of built in growl if that's what you're looking for. A good place to start, then you can add a pedal down the road if you need some good melty fuzz.
@ladyjulia40383 жыл бұрын
Oh no I personally like just a touch of distortion. Which can be hard to find. I'm gonna pull the trigger on this one. Thankyou for the help.

You think the ipro would be good for someone wanting to play pop punk/easycore genre?
@ThePedalGuy Жыл бұрын
If you add a little more grit to it with a pedal, probably sure.

Thanks for replying back! I’m just getting back into playing bass after 10 years and the bands I listen to uses GK, orange and ampeg but those are super expensive and I was looking around at different heads and seen this one I’m also looking at the mark bass and the elf amp heads too theirs just so many different brands but not many videos for pop punk sounds so it gets confusing.

@@unusualN0OB Good luck on your quest. I hope you find the tone you're looking for. You might consider the NUX Mighty series as well as there are several bass options too.

Awesome review... Can it be connected to a 8 ohm 600 watts cab?

Here are the specs on the site 200 W at 4 ohms / 130 W at 8 ohms

Yeah I read that.. Would it handle a rated 600 watts cabinet...it says it would work for small to mediumsize live events... Just wondering.

How do you match a speaker cabinet to this amp? Sorry for the noob question.
@ThePedalGuy3 жыл бұрын
No problem. The speaker out is a 4ohm min. Most amps will spell it out on the back of the unit.

How does this sound for upright?
@ThePedalGuy2 жыл бұрын
I don't have an upright, so I couldn't tell you for sure. It's a really solid sounding amp, but the EBS Stanley Clarke Acoustic Preamp might be a better solution. It's a little pricey but from what I've heard, it's pretty awesome.
