I saw no difference between those $45 cnhl batts and the $100 max amps except for warranty support. And that it’s puffed but I bet the max amps would of too if I ran them as hard but now they are unused.

my friend blew up his lipo and icharger and the charger cable on fire because he keep using a puffed up lipo thats like over 3+ years old for bashing in his backyard track..never use puffed up lipo .. you only get a good 300 to 400+ cycles on this or more depends how you use them and store it

Hands down the best drag lipo for under $100 are the SMC SRD packs. Tons of sub 2 seconds cars using them.

Can anybody help me with a battery question??I'm looking for a lipo battery I use to have back in 2010/2011....all I can remember is the whole thing was red.it didn't have a hard case, more like thick shrink warp.i want to say the company was called nu energy? or nu speed?they had a website,sold batteries,chargers and plane and drone electric motors..If I remember correctly I want to say the company was in Cali....the battery I had was a 6s lipo,can't remember all the other details. Does this sound familiar to anybody?or would be able to if the company is out of business.

Chad thanks for the awesome videos and taking the time to teach the us the new guys in the hobby. I'm using a slash lcg chassis for my first drag car, I got the mamba x 8s esc and the trinity 2.5 motor. With that chassis I believe I can't use the maxamps battery because the shape. I don't want to cut the chassis to fit that size battery. What battery in your opinion is the best choice for that chassis? I was thinking on getting the cnhl 7.4v 8000mah 120c. And also what connector you recommend to put in the esc and battery? Thanks again

check out my video on the chinahobbylines..they are good for a bit. theyll puff but you should get some runs out of them and they are a really decent price. i ran them in the dr10. dont cut the chassis..i did and it broke. look to move all of it to a carboin conversion when youre ready

If you want to spend a little less and still be safe, visit batteryhookup and grab a surplus ammo can. Nothing’s gonna chew through that. When you have these high current power cells and one cell in a 2s4p configuration goes bad, that’s when your likelihood of having a fire goes way up, especially if it’s sitting on the charger, as the 3 good cells hooked in parallel will be draining themselves trying to charge the bad one. If they’re full enough, that can reach the point of a chemical chain reaction 🔥💨

Lol. Yeah. Everyone is jumping gin that band wagon. I’m fairly certain if you’re charging between hits that there is a point where the weight vs milliamp equation topples. My 4350 seems to run just as good as my 6400 but the 6400 makes me feel better :)

I'm running the trinity revtech drag master 4000 only cause it fits my dr10 there good battery's but they get hit pretty hard i never make more then one pass on them

I bought two of those batteries and have never ran them. Trying to sell them now for $150. Brand new. Just bought two max amps bricks instead. Bought them about a month ago and just finished building my car and decided not to use them. Ec5 connection currently but could be swapped out to anything

I use isdt chargers. Make up leads to just leave battery in car and then hookup and charge. I run the charger with a larger 4s battery. Easy and simple.

I have 2 3s 5000 to run the tire warmers so I don’t need to worry about charging those and then a 4s 5000 for the car and in case I need to top off a warmer. Amazon doing weird stuff where they are selling in pairs now.

there are a lot of different batts out now but generally youre multi cell 2s packs will be short and think vs a 2regular 2 cell pack

I have my fantom 3.5 at 32. 35 seemed to get hot. 32 was a good spot. Maybe try 30 first.

I keep my batteries in a lipo bag, inside of a metal 40mm ammo can. Even if one lights off, it’ll lose oxygen fast.

Boy idk. I’m going to say no just based off of how much radio tuning I’m using. I’ve known many people this year that have made the move to sanwa and all got faster using what they had. A more powerful motor snd esc ain’t going to do much if you’re still fighting it. You need that tune ability.

@@jameyharrison7499 well im sure theres alot sub 2 second cars out there thaought dont run bricks, i know of 2 cars in 1.9,1.8 range that run regular shorty packs, and i believe 1 of them hold low e.t. and mph record in Lexington,ky.
