Right after its launch at the 2024 Hero World, we got the opportunity to take a quick ride on Hero Xtreme 125R at Hero's test track. Unlike the Splendor 125 and Passion 125, this one is a more premium offering from the brand with modern hardware and a fresh new design. This one targets a rather young set of buyers who want their motorcycle to look sporty and has all the bells and whistles that are otherwise offered in a segment higher motorcycle. It also gets a brand new 125cc engine with a balancer shaft and silent cam chain thus making it pretty smooth to ride. This engine produces a max power output of 10.7PS and 10.6Nm, and is claimed to return a mileage of 66kmpl.

My friend has a Raider and I have ridden it, its great no doubt but this looks even more exciting. The posture, the looks, and a "jack of all trade" in this segment. Looks like would be comfortable on long rides. Absolutely loving the way Hero has been improving lately.

it looks better than the 160 lol. I'm not sold on hero's new design language but boy do they make some great wheels for their bikes!! Hero's alloy game is on point! if tvs and honda made better alloys for their bikes instead of the boring 5 spoke alloys from 15 years ago i'd probably buy an apache or a unicorn.

This chasis is the same one that is used in Xtreme 160R & it's a brilliant chasis in term of stiffness, agility, handling & weight management. That's why handling will be definitely spot on.

Competition is always good, it was frustrating when TVS gave the Raider smart screen but not abs, Hero has bought some real competition to the space! Hero now just needs to focus on fit finish levels and aftersales service

I don't know why but power could have been at par with Ns125 or little more around 12.5 bhp atleast with regards to it's design , tyre size and Hero's first attempt at sporty 125cc segment 🫤... this is under 11bhp and torque is under 11 nm too😬. It's just a commuter bike for 50-60 kmph riding. With pillion it'll struggle !! Already riding neon125 and experienced Duke 125 too

300-400 kms in one go wouldn't be advisable as it not built for long touring purposes. However, if you wish to ride in the city and highways with an approx run of around 100 km, then it can be the ideal choice for you.
