Good day. Although this video is for beginners, a little bit of the information is incorrect. I have a Mustang Inflatable PFD and the Belt- type that are both CG approved and that I use. I also have 4 Type II's and 2 Throwables. I understand what you are trying to do, but are doing a slight disservice mis-stating what is available. It would be better to strongly suggest CG-approval along with the intent of the PFD. Thanks

Our aim is not to do a disservice but rather bring awareness to boaters on the life jackets that they should have and for what application. Too often we see boaters with the wrong life jackets for offshore fishing or even not having life jackets on the boat. That is really cool that you have a type V inflatable that is USCG approved. I had not seen one approved for offshore fishing. My son and I use a type V but still have to take a Type I on the boat. Can you send me the model number for your inflatable PFD. It will be so much easier for us to have one that is approved by USCG than taking two life jackets for each of us off shore. Thanks for the feedback!

Pesca..... I think I misspoke. I have a Type II Inflatable (Mustang) MD3183. I thought that the Belt-type was CG Approved but I can't find it on the device. I am not convinced that the Mustang that I have is the way to go. There isn't storage in it. I used to use a Kayak Fishings type PFD that had loads. Would clip a handheld VHF and Strobe to it. I believe that some Countries require a crotch strap for the Inflatable PFD. Wish ours did. Steve

@stevenquigley4208 no worries. We actually have the crotch strap on our Type V’s and that’s very important because if you fall in the water it can slide over your head. Without it. Thanks for the quick response and thank you for the engagement on our video.
