I just discovered these videos. Thank you for making them Mr. Wallace. I can't believe there aren't tons more subscribers. I've studied martial arts off & on most of my life, & I had the rare pleasure of seeing Bill Wallace fight in person at a tournament my father took me to many, many years ago. Not surprisingly, he made it to the finals and was matched against another blackbelt who was considered one of the best in our region. I will never forget it. Bill was in his classic horse stance, facing the blackbelt who was in an opposite facing horse stance, a distance of about one wide horse stance between them. In the blink of an eye, Bill closed the distance and hit his opponent's head with a hook kick that knocked the opponent to the ground. Incredible speed AND power, a very rare & dangerous combo. What a wonderful memory. Thank you Bill for your great ability, for your competitor's heart, & for so freely sharing your advice & skill with all of us over the years.

Thank goodness for Bill Wallace. 👍 i’d love to see a personal feature on him. What is he doing when he’s not throwing punches and kicks and teaching all of us knuckleheads out there. I don’t imagine him as a guy that’s out playing golf in all of his spirit time or with a wife and a bunch of grown-up kids. I hope I just didn’t miss that episode or something.

Finally the penny dropped! Just have a look on the intro of the vids at kickboxer champion Gabriel Varga's channel and find the movement pattern. Bill Wallace, the gentleman who adjusted my perspective on potential careers 40 years ago - watching him fight made me understand that I could never get even remotely to that level in kickboxing beside my profession in a different trade. Well, but you still can have fun on the amateur level … 😁

At 7:55 look at the footwork from the cross to the hook. That is SO key to any martial arts. One reason, it naturally sets up the front leg sidekick, as he mentions.
