I think I watched Step 4 like 7 times but I think I got it. Correct me if I'm wrong. For the first set of raptors at 6:15, the one on the left has mutation levels up to 254 in both health and melee. The one on the right has mutation levels up to 255 in both health and melee. Both are operating outside of official settings. The stat caps at 255, but that is outside of leveling so if you only go to 254, then the game will let you level beyond 255 which means 255 is not the cap if you are leveling, but it requires you to not mutate past 254. The second set of raptors at 6:50 are operating with official settings in mind. The one on the left has mutations maxing out the dino stats up to 449 (254+195) and has room for one experience level since the max is 450. The one on the right has been carefully planned to limit the mutations to 89 levels below 450 to allow room for the 88 experience levels (254+107=361; 361+88=449). The reason you want low levels on the stats that are not needed when playing on official is so you can maximize the stats you do want. If the raptor on the left had higher stats in oxygen, stamina, etc., then you wouldn't be able to get to 254 in health and 195 in melee, same with the 254/107 on the right and still have room for 88 experience levels in melee. Do I understand correctly? I play single player so I'm not even sure what the max level is. I tend to set most of my settings to match official so it probably is 450.

Guys if you get a mutation on a female you don’t have to throw it away. Just breed it back to the base male until the mutation goes onto a male.

I found that the ARK Smart Breeding program helps a LOT with the breeding. Works for ASA even if not officially supported.

What starting stats do you recommend to go for on boss Dino’s? My best therizino is 44 points into health and 43 into melee before mutation. Will this be enough?

how can i tell how many points are already in each individual stat before mutating? or does 'clean breeding pair' mean 0/0 regardless of their level and stats?
