Nissan Evalia also known as NV200 is one of the most successful caravan across the world. I bought an unfinished project 5 months ago and have converted it into a beautiful Campervan.
If u find a used Nissan Evalia for approx. 3 to 4 lakh this could be a great asset for building a caravan.

Fantastic!! Just Brilliant my friend. You have built what I have dreamt of! Building a caravan/ mini camper which can also be used as a daily commute is an ultimate dream. Wonderful Dhruv You have done it wonderfully. I have, with your advice, converted Ciaz. It has it's pluses and minuses. But for start, it is a good adventure. I liked your concept of Swivel chair Power(elec) management Beds, both top and bottom The basic principle- Keeping it simple. At 4L it is affordable as well. Hopefully in coming months I shall be driving down to Dun Valley. With warm regards

Hello Dhruv! Excited to see that this is happening in India. Being quadriplegic & completely wheelchair-bound, I am looking for one van for my transportation. As of now there neither budget nor desire to go for caravan… But I think I should go for the van that I could transform as a caravan in future if needed.

Evalia is the most economical and practical Caravan option available in India at the price point u quoted. Evalia comes with reputed K9k Diesel engine and there is no issue in sourcing engine and drive train related parts as they have the same parts that are used in popular Renault and nissan vehicles with 1.5 ltr engines. I heard this vehicle has a load carrying capacity of approximately 750kg with the best in class milage. There is no need to register it as a caravan as this is a 7 seater vehicle. Good choice bro! Looking forward to see your adventures on this vehicle.👌👌👌

The alterations are really intresting.. Especially knowing how it looked like before. For anyone wondering @MotorhomeAdventures converted this caravan 3 years back. Great work tho ! Also are all the cabinets and locks same as we built or different ? Looks like the old ones we put during the conversion.

Good to see your comment Vidushi....All credit goes to Motorhome Adventure for great design and excellent craftsmanship...I have just pepped it up since it was in terrible shape as the owner hasn't used it in a while. Also have done some space management for my type of requirement...the click locks are original from you guys.....Overall this and Nuke both are very practical and I think this is the future of Indian caravaning...However what a shame as both Nissana and Ashok Leyland have discontinued this model....

Nicely done Dhruv bhai. Kudos!👍 I could see a childlike enthusiasm as if showing off your favorite toy. two things I noticed could be a safety hazard. 1. Wiring and switch setup under the sink. If there's a water leakage or even a little more spillage, then the wires could go short creating a fire hazard. 2. Your pop top contains gas hydraulics, which can fail if the gas leaks. I suggest you add some more support, while the pop top is open, otherwise it will be risky sleeping on the top. You're an inspiration! 🙌

Yes it must be approved by the RTA. They will not approve these changes, unless you pay them well and be compliant with the rules and regulations

Hi.. thanks for the video. Need to understand if i do changes, but is it approved by Indian transport laws ? May be a stupid question. Also the current situation of Delhi with BS3 and BS4 engine rules will there be any problem if we modify it in old cars?

No modification are allowed as per RTO. even fog lights and carrier are illegal per say. Having said that keep external modifications to a minimum.
